How Dragons Came to Hollywood
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. That’s not to say they hadn’t been there for so long most people have forgotten what life was like before. Nonetheless, there had been a time when the valley was free of dragons, a time before we humans answered to their every whim - fearing for our lives. A time when people didn’t even believe dragons existed. The poor fools. Had they known, maybe they could’ve prevented the dragons’ arrival.

The Wall of the Hurricane
The storm raged around us as we hid in the cove, the cliffs offering limited protection. We’d done this routine before. We had it down to an art form. Batten down the hatches, tighten the main braces, reduce sail, see to the lines. If we had any cargo on deck we’d be making it secure but we don’t have any cargo yet. Cargo comes after the storm.

A Flicker of Candle Light
It had been a long day at work. Every day was a long day. I suppose that’s what happens when you work for a paycheck rather than for something you believe in. I tossed my bag on the desk, careful to avoid the half-full glass of water sitting too close to my laptop.
