The poems of a Prolific Persian writer and Sufi mystic, Rumi. With couplet poems, this man changed the world and influenced the Muslim religion. Rumi only wanted us to transcend our physical world and finally reunite with the Divine God, and his work is the stepping stone to do that.

A book about doing things other people wouldn't do; because they are scared to succeed or to do hard things. Goggins talks about haters and uses their voices to motivate himself. Come to grips with your past; never quit. Read if you want to light a fire under your ass.

Back to School
I have made declarations about going back to school, not only to take classes in writing but as a way to expand myself. My darling little kid just started kindergarten, and by the way, I spelled kindergarten wrong on her look school board. See Exhibit A above. My child is part of why I want to get even better, and I want to show her we are capable of anything.

The lies we tell, Ch 2 and 3
I woke up the following day. I yawned and stretched and vaguely began recalling the events of the night before. The events came like flashes. Jeremy was kissing me, clinging to me. The burning risotto. Divorce. With the realization that it wasn’t just a bad dream and it was, in fact, the actual events of my night; I again cried. I had cried myself to sleep, and now I was awake. Within minutes I heard my mother in my room.
