What's in a Name? (Pt 6)
Alex was too busy wondering what she might find in the hidden room to get much sleep. As it turned out, convincing Vanessa to let her have the key back wasn’t much of a challenge. Since Trevor returned the next day with a crew to begin the process of cleaning and clearing out the basement, he had assured them that it was quite safe.

What's in a Name? (Part 5)
After her encounter with the ghost, Alex didn’t experience any strange phenomena for the next two days. She also didn’t tell Vanessa about what happened. That would have freaked her out, and she didn’t want to worry her friend more than she already had.

What's in a Name? (Part 4)
Alex lay in bed, her thoughts on the mysterious man and the woman with no name. As she drifted into sleep, her dreams were plagued by visions influenced by the information she’d learned. Upon waking from them, she burned with a desire to find the truth.

What's in a Name (Part 3)
“Why did you want to come here?” Vanessa asked as they pulled up in front of the town’s hall of records building. “Because there’s something I want to find,” Alex said getting out of the vehicle. She had her papers of ownership as well as her ID figuring they would likely be needed.

What's in a Name? Pt 2
After the first few weeks of renovations passed, Alex was unsure whether she was relieved or disappointed at the lack of paranormal activity. Everything was coming along smoothly, and the house felt alive again, though not in a spooky, afterlife sort of way. The colours were brighter, and the dust was a mere memory.

What's in a Name? (Part 1)
“Wow. That’s quite a house. Are you sure you want to live here, Lex?” Alex ignored Vanessa’s question and stepped out of the car to admire the historic manner she’d inherited. She had known about the house her grandfather owned but refused to live in. He’d been a feeble man in life and a place of this grandeur was not something he could maintain, though he had the money for it. Often, she had asked about the manner. His answers were ever vague or mumbled. This was her first time seeing it in person.

And not just K’Saien. All of Almarr-Ka, from the greatest cities to the lowliest towns, everything was burning.

Hush-A-By
Running through the dead trees; The hunters chase, the prey flees. Hush-a-by, hush-a-by, they all fall down. The wailing child’s voice sounded again; an eerie song drifting on the chill wind. Icy fingers wrapped around them, sending haunting shivers down their spines. In terror they ran. They had been running for days. Every time the song sounded, someone died.

When you don't know where to go, hop on a Train
Dreams, hopes, goals, and visions of the future. We're constantly being fed the old trope of, "follow your dreams." But no one tells us which dream to follow, or how to even begin the process of chasing something as ambiguous as a hope. Visions are vague, at best. And goals mean nothing if you don't actively follow steps to achieve them. But let's face it. When it comes to what you want for your future, everyone else is happy to grant you their blessings, so long as nothing more is required.
