Perfectly imperfect me
It’s sad that today people would instead use ignorance or that little block button when confronted with the truth. That they would instead take offense to what is being said instead of seeing the reality of the facts laid before them. When did our world become so broken that a man can not admit his true intentions but would rather shrug it off like it doesn’t even exist? It is true what they say, “ignorance is bliss.” Come on people let us make a change because we all know it takes a real man to admit his sins and it takes an even stronger to confess those sins proudly for all to see…. Here I am I am not perfect, and I never claim to be I make mistakes, but I learn from them I am proud of my sins because without them I would be naïve but with them, I am nothing more than human. I proudly admit my wrongs, I have been hurt just as much as I have hurt others. I am not proud of everything I have done to others, but I am proud of the man they have helped me because each sin I have committed has made me strong from the lessons I learned from there consequences and as I stand before you today I would be nothing without them because without the bad the good would not feel satisfying without guilt you cannot understand pain and without that pain and sadness how can we truly know happiness. I am me flawed yet perfect in my own way. I will always stand for what I Believe in because my pain has taught me strength and my tears have shown me strength. I will always proudly and Undoubtably be me no matter what sins of the future come my way

1. You did this to drive me insane didn’t you? What really changed from Tuesday til now and if you do miss me why can’t we ever be friends? Come on Jason if we’re never going to speak again at least be real with me for once bc either you’re lying to me tonight about your feelings or you’ve lied to me from the start bc let’s be honest you weren’t just procrastinating and sleeping all the times you left me waiting and if you hate me so much now just tell me what we’re you really doing all those times or why did you break up with me every weekend and never let me go help you in Oviedo and why was I a huge secret that never got to meet your friends? Oh and why when you made a Grindr this last time why did you not show up I’m the fresh section when you added pics like you should have??? Come on we both know you weren’t a perfect boyfriend either stop lying to yourself and me and just tell me the truth.

A thousand miles from home
I remember this day like it was yesterday. A day I’ll never forget. It was August 1, 2020. The world was consumed by the COVID-19 pandemic and all our lives changed in an instant. But on this day in a small town in the countryside of central New York a young guy of the age of 28 embarked on the largest and most life-changing adventure he had ever made. That guy was me and on this day I loaded my car to the brim with everything I felt was most important to me scrambling around to make sure I didn’t miss a thing because I wouldn’t be coming back for a while and when I did this place would no longer be home. As the sun began to set I pulled up to Slammin’s house for she was the friend I was choosing to take the beginning part of this journey with, Slammin had her bag packed and was already rushing me to leave we found space for her stuff and we prepared ourselves for a long drive. As I set the GPS Slammin’ ran through her checklist “soda. Check. Snacks. Check” she said, “oh wait I forgot my phone charger?” I say jumping out of the car to run inside for the very last time. This day is most memorable to me because that day was the day I packed up my entire life and moved to Florida.

As I lay here on this cool bright September morning, I find myself thankful for four amazing people who dropped into my life in unexpected circumstances And I wouldn’t change that for the world. You all are amazing in your ways. Each one of you has made a mark on me that I will never forget. There are so many things I can say or do to express my gratitude yet it’ll never truly stand up to the reality of your guys’ impact on me and the changes I’ve begun to make in life because there are people out there you care about. I wish I knew a proper way to thank all of you. I hope this right here can be enough.

“Dylan Arther Toften, get your ass out of bed right this second; you’re going to be late to class!” Mom’s voice came from the other side of the door. After a yell back through the door from across the room, I sat up and looked at the clock. It was only 7:30. I didn’t have to be at the college until 9, and it was only a 20-minute drive. “I need my own place,” I thought to myself before turning over to see Rebecca next to me in bed. I kissed her good morning. “Wake up, sleepyhead, time to get up and ready,” I spoke.

I sit in this spot. You know the one I sit in every day. As I sit there looking around it's not the duck pond I am looking for because I am waiting. The families sitting nearby picnicking are not the reason I am here either, my reasons for being here are for a whole other reason altogether. I am waiting. Waiting here on this bench.

Through the dark
As I’m screaming nobody can hear me. Like an uninvited guest, everyone stares. Looking at him over there. My heart ripped to shreds way beyond repair. I toss and I turn but no one returns. It burns through my thoughts never believed in such a fury. Dazed and confused I was just there being refused. By my friends and loved ones I hope you’re amused. Being in my head why can’t I be dead. No one would notice and that’s a fact. Like when a flower withers and no one reacts.
