Bio
Stuffed my dreams in a closet but they didn't like it. So, I walked in there and made a pact: I'd take them out for a walk - one dream, one year at a time. The choice led me to long-term traveling and becoming a dream coach. Enjoy :)

Day 6 of taking turmeric everyday
I might have gum disease. For a few days now, I've suspected that some food is lodged in the air pocket between my gum and the wisdom tooth that's 3/4 out and one part in, rotting. A mere toothbrush wouldn't cut it so today, I finally went out to get a brushpick which is pointed on one end and bristly on the other. Usually used for interdental cleaning, but I really just want to poke around the airpocket and see if I can clean it up that way.

Day 3 of taking turmeric everyday
In a few days, I might decide on a few datapoints to pay attention to. Meanwhile, the biggest thing that happened today was succumbing to food delivery. I hardly do that. What made today different was an early morning decision to give myself the day off.

Day 2 of taking turmeric everyday
[Read Day 1 here] There's a pain on my right knee that's been there for a while. It comes and goes. It was never a real concern until that time in my mid 20s when I decided to climb a mountain. Perhaps the way up is not too worrisome. The way that knee was hurting, the descent was a concern. That's how I found out about glucosamine, which is the first supplement I ever bought and took religiously. The moment my training and the actual hike was over, I stopped taking them.

Day 1 of taking turmeric everyday
I have a bottle of turmeric supplements and I don't remember why I bought it in the first place. What I do know is that there are 21 pills left so at the point of purchase, I was eager enough that I consumed over a week's worth of daily doses.

You move, you life
As I was leaving Kuala Lumpur, what Bryan said as I pulled out of his driveway reverberated, as if it had run around a mental track and finally got to a point where it could present itself again, in the style of a kid, hand raised, waving, because they had something they just have to share.

The No Idea Garden of Remembrance
The most popular steamboat spot for writers now is the No Idea Garden of Remembrance. It's an oversized lot. Every writer thinks it is his or hers exclusively, and none of their guests have known it before. The host forgets how they came to know about the garden in the first place, or that among the invited are other writers too.

Anatomy of a Bruneian sentence
“Kids baru balik dari swimming,” announces my sister in our family Whatsapp group chat, “we inda join jemaah.” She is talking about our nightly congregation at maghrib, the one obligatory prayer for which my father would avail himself at home, to worship with the rest of the family. He prefers to offer the other four mandatory prayers at the village mosque. It is a ritual that takes a great chunk of the day. The nationwide circuit-breaker during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown must have been hard on him. Years of post-retirement routine upended. Thankfully, it did not last long, at least not in Brunei.
