Stuffed my dreams in a closet but they didn't like it. So, I walked in there and made a pact: I'd take them out for a walk - one dream, one year at a time. The choice led me to long-term traveling and becoming a dream coach. Enjoy :)

Day 15 of Korean in 80 days
This is part of "Learning Korean in a Jiffy" where I attempt to become speak-ready for an upcoming trip to South Korea. T-66. I have a little more than two months left. It's the start of Week 3 of learning Korean and so far my track record has been on the slight side.

Day 9 to 14 of Korean in 80 days
This is part of "Learning Korean in a Jiffy" where I attempt to become speak-ready for an upcoming trip to South Korea. T-67. In about 10 weeks, I'll be landing in Seoul, moving through the crowd with confidence, speaking to the locals and fellow Korean speakers with ease and pulling my sister along behind me, her face in full seismic shock. That's the dream anyway.

Day 2 of Korean in 80 days
T-79 It's day 2 and my first week of learning Korean. Out of the 50 phrases I set out to learn, today I chose 10 more, despite the fact that I barely remembered two phrases from yesterday's lot of 10. Also, I can't recall what one of them was this morning. So, effectively 1 out of 10.

Day 1 of Korean in 80 days
This is part of "Learning Korean in a Jiffy" where I attempt to become speak-ready for an upcoming trip to South Korea. It's T-80. Previous attempts at learning Korean (hi, Duolingo survivor here) did not result in me saying a single word of it when I lived in Jeju last year. After the trip, I keep saying that I'll learn but I just bought tickets to Seoul with my sister and we fly in a little over two months. This is me hauling my ass to the study table and being accountable.

Learning Korean in a jiffy
Last year, when I went to Seoul and Jeju, I planned on knowing some Korean but it did not happen. This year, I'm going again with my sister, who is keen on the language enough to dust off her preferred app and pick it up again. We're not competitive partly because she appears to be better at Asian languages than I am (aside from our mother tongue Malay, she already speaks some Chinese and Japanese) although I reckon a little bit of it would help.

Day 15 - 21 of taking turmeric everyday. AI-Generated.
Sometimes it is easier to describe something when we have something to compare it against. I've been trying to look for changes and differences. This is after all a practice in attentiveness. The 21 days have come to an end. What did I see? Well, it took me three months to find the words.

Day 8 - 14 of taking turmeric everyday
Week 2 of taking turmeric everyday: Hair fall, joints and skin - all looking good. [For Day 7/Week 1, read here] I've only just realised that the issue I have with my body is not the weight per se, it's the shape. I'm curvy and I love that, except there are places I wish were more firm - in particular, my waist. I'm shaped like a guitar, a classic hourglass that shows even when I was skinny. But only from the front and the back. When I turn to show my profile, it's a different story.

Day 7 of taking turmeric everyday
I'm on the phone, waiting for replies when I'm not busy. Thankfully, I was busy for much of the day - taking care of the cat, making breakfast, doing work, meeting a friend for lunch, having her over for a swim and then dinner, back to hanging out with the cat and now this.
