'Queen and Slim'
Here is the thing. I cannot talk too much about the meaning behind this movie as it does not relate to me. And going to the premiere last night, I clearly was in the minority because this movie is geared towards the African American demographic which I think is amazing. It is written and directed by two amazing, strong African American women who really made a story that is all the relatable for others like them, especially in the US.

Based on a true story, Ford v Ferrari is more than just a movie about cars and racing, it is the story of the underdog which everyone can relate to.

'Joker'
SPOILERS AHEAD AS A FAIR WARNING Joker is probably one of the most needed movies of our time and place. While critics were saying that it went too far, I believe the movie explained it what was needed perfectly. It put us on edge and told the story of probably one of the most loved criminals in movie history. Now I do not think it was what people expected from what they had heard, but for what the movie is, which is telling the story behind the Joker, it is superb.

'The Lighthouse'
SPOLIERS ARE AHEAD SO IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE PLEASE STOP READING NOW. The Lighthouse was a film that turned out to be something I was not expecting. First and foremost, the presentation of the movie is something that I am not used to in the slightest. It was shot in a 4.3, meaning that it is on a much smaller screen, and it was in black and white, making it appear like a much older movie. This really gave the movie a new perspective for me as someone who is recently getting more into the movie scene.

'Jojo Rabbit'
SPOLIERS ARE AHEAD SO IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE PLEASE STOP READING NOW. Jojo Rabbit is an interesting film to say the least. It is a film based during the time of World War II in Germany. It focuses on this 10-year-old boy, Jojo, who is an aspiring Nazi fanatic wanting to be in the personal protection service of Hitler. The twist of it is that Jojo has an imaginary friend, who so happens to be Hitler himself. The plot takes an unforeseen twist, as Jojo finds out that his mom is hiding a Jewish girl in their house. Instead of turning her in, he decides to write a book to help other spot Jews.

Seasonal Depression
Ahh it is that time of year once again, the clocks have gone back an hour, making 5 PM feel more like 6 PM, and it gets dark at 4:30 PM. Not only is the outside world seemingly greyer, but your outlook on things may be as well. You start to feel down and have no explanation for why you feel this way, other than it's just the weather; then you are dealing with Seasonal Depression.

A Mental Illness Relationship
Being in a relationship is tough, regardless of who it is with, for however long, or even if it is the perfect relationship. There are always some tough rocks in the road. But dealing with mental illness as well as being in a relationship adds a new dimension of it being difficult.

'A Breaking Bad Movie'
This movie was highly anticipated. Everyone wanted to know what happened to Jesse at the end of Breaking Bad. I will go on to say that I loved how they started the movie right from the last scene, in the show where we saw Jesse freed from capture, driving away.

My Brain Is a Mess
When I was 14 years old my world almost ended. I was in a horrific accident where I was close to losing my life. But I didn't, and I spent the next five years trying to figure out why. I was considered lucky, all things aside. On the outside you cannot tell really that I have gone through anything terrible. On the inside I am a mess.

Disney Remakes Ranked
As the entire world is aware, Disney has been on a rampage recently with remaking all their classic movies into live action. For the most part the changes have been great and the animation has been fantastic. I saw online another post where they ranked the movies, and they used two of the Jungle Book remakes, which made the list a little off as they also left out a remake that has happened. For this list, we will only be using the recent Disney remakes, and not including any second movie that comes from it.
