Bio
I share writing shaped by real moments, quiet thoughts, and the need to make sense of things. Sometimes deep, sometimes light — always honest. No performance, just words that feel true. If any of it resonates, I’m glad you’re here.

The Soul Doesn’t Need a Map.
“I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” - Jimmy Dean Good Morning! A pretty cold and grey one at that. As I half-expected, I lay awake at 4am this morning, contemplating life… my life, and all the little bits in between. Though there are many days when those early morning hours catch up with me later, I actually really enjoy that time. It feels a bit like a weekend, because I get to stay in bed completely guilt-free (I mean, who gets up at that hour? Oh wait… ME! Yesterday, lol). But no, seriously… that’s what it feels like.

What's not to Love about Nasturtiums.
I know some people have a bit of a "love / hate" relationship with this plant, but ever since I discovered that the combination of a nasturtium leaf and a little bit of water could create diamonds... Jim Morrison was right, people are strange!
Jim Morrison was right, people are strange! What is it about humans that we seem to “want” to attract drama into our lives?! Feelings of animosity are never enjoyable so why on earth do we so often not only entertain them but willingly attract them into our sphere of being?!

You can't draw water from a rock
“It is quite clear that between love and understanding there is a very close link...He who loves understands, and he who understands loves. One who feels understood feels loved, and one who feels loved feels sure of being understood.” - Paul Tournier

The Beauty in your Details
Paintings are magical things really and though I have always loved art, I have developed a really deep and rich connection to it in the last few years, so I decided to use a close up photo of the oil paint strokes on a painting my late mom did for me some years ago to symbolically illustrate the point that - sometimes, you need to look a little closer to appreciate the beauty, and value of who and what it is that sits in right front of you, so that you are less likely to judge it.

Petrichor & My Inner Child
I love my garden after the rain. There is something absolutely magical about inhaling the smell of wet earth as your feet sink themselves into the damp ground beneath you. It is like time stops around you as you meander in this silent space which is anything but empty.
