OPPORTUNITY+CONSISTENCY=GREATNESS
Obscurity brings with it many blessings many don’t appreciate...

If there’s any book or story from the Bible that teaches me immensely on what it means to have and make use of opportunities in a timely fashion, I think it would be that of the story of Joseph. His life is replete with lessons of one's approach in life if they intend to become what God intended them to become.
Naturally, we tend to believe that life gets better out of vacuum and of no apparent effort. Who wouldn’t wish that they slept and woke up one morning and viola every desire they ever imagined or contemplated on becomes a reality with absolutely no input or work. But here’s the thing, opportunities only thrive in the midst of prior consistent commitment to duty and responsibility. Pharaoh, when he was bemused by the dream encounters that left him with a myriad of questions, was entreated by his butler to go in search of the young Joseph. Why? The stunning recommendation was not because Joseph was merely a good looking stud who perhaps had been wrongfully jailed for a crime he vehemently denied committing. The vote of confidence by the Butler was because even in obscurity Joseph was consistently doing the father’s business. He had a great deal of work to show for his consistency. All he needed was the opportunity. He had interpreted the dreams of the Butler aswell as the baker (Genesis 41:12-13) all of which came to pass exactly as he had predicted.
If you ask me I dare say there were more dreams he interpreted of prisoners. But don’t take my word for it. It was this record that convinced pharaoh to try out a boy for a task that even the most revered magicians of the time had failed to accomplish.
A prison if you ask me is not where you typically hope to make a name for yourself. But that was Joseph's story. That became the very conduit of his uprising. The worth of a thing is not judged or measured by the environment in which it finds itself rather by the immense depth of commitment, consistency and responsibility it entails.

Like Joseph, many may not give notice or pay heed to what you carry but the fact is you still carry it . As long as you carry it, you must be prepared to keep working at it even in the dark corners of obscurity until your day of opportunity arrives. Don’t spy on another man's result only to be distracted into cutting corners. Build momentum, build a story, build a foundation, build credentials, just keep building until your results become too undeniable to ignore. It is what you build today when the likes, praises and cheers are zilch that determines how much more you can build when the world finally turns their eyeballs on you.
Obscurity brings with it many blessings many don’t appreciate and give attention to. Do you know what men like Joseph, Daniel, David, John the Baptist and even Jesus Christ Himself have in common? They were all people who understood the trifecta principle of life which is consistency, opportunity and manifestation. Every one of us believe it or not has a day of opportunity just waiting to spring up on us. More often than not it’s unawares but when it does will we be ready for the date ?
"And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged."
Genesis 41:12-13 KJV

I’m a firm believer in what the message of the cross can immensely accomplish in an individuals life if he or she is willing to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
