Bio
Hello world!
I'm just a momma and a wife wanting to spread joy where it is needed the most. My hope is to lighten the heaviness of life with a few of my thoughts, and provide peace in the darkest of seasons for one, or for many.
Enjoy.

An Addiction
The beginning of a traumatic event is the hardest when it's all actually happening, but it seems like the easiest once the dust settles. The photo above is one of the many photos taken at the beginning of our engagment when our journey began. We were offered a lot of advice on our wedding day and one of the pieces was, "Just make it through the first year of marriage, then the rest is easy." What a loaded statement, and so incredibly wrong it was. I mean, yes, our first year has been the hardest, but "the rest" is a gamble.

I’ll Be Right There
My father. He is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to protecting his family. He is the “I’ll be right over” and “come on over, I’ll make breakfast” kind of Dad. To call him a hard worker is putting it lightly and he’ll never turn his back on what he knows to be the right thing to do.

Make Good Decisions
I was seventeen when a boy told me to “make good decisions” after he asked me what I was going to wear to an outing with my Aunts when I told him jeans and heels. He was disturbed by the fact that I’d be wearing kitten heeled shoes to a bridal show as if they were a symbol of promiscuity. Good Lord… if I knew then what I know now. I remember feeling a chill to my bones when he told me that, too. As if I’d be too sexy or too much for the general public. You hate to give a guy like that any sort of attention, but sometimes when you break yourself free of that, it’s not damned if you didn’t… it’s damn glad you did.
