The Exorcist
The Exorcist is the greatest film of all time. That’s just my unwavering personal opinion. You may not share it. That’s okay. Nobody’s perfect. If everyone could enjoy the perfect casting, superior direction, suspenseful writing, and chilling cinematography, we would never try anything new. Just look at how many times others have tried (and failed) to duplicate The Exorcist over time! I won’t even soil this review by mentioning the garbage Blumhouse put out. (But can you “believe” they want to make two sequels to that pile of cow dung? Wish I had that kind of money to burn!)

Brett Cooper
Even if your political beliefs take you left of center, you may have heard about Brett Cooper’s abrupt departure from The Daily Wire. For several weeks, it was a hot topic on Elon Musk’s X and many more social media platforms. While we still don’t have a concrete explanation for the separation, there are plenty of YouTube videos exploring the possible reasons Brett lost or gave up her position as the host of the organization’s The Comments Section.

Creepy Kids in Cinema
When are you going to have a baby? Women hear this question more often, but it’s also a question posed to newly married men. Just don’t forget that the family member, friend, or co-worker with that question on their lips won’t have to raise your bundle of joy. Before you commit to parenthood, take a look at the potential for disaster. These horror films demonstrate why the reality of parenthood doesn’t always match the expectations of first-time parents.

Risky Reading
What’s your favorite MacGuffin? Is it a book? Arcane or possessed books drive horror film plots more often than cinephiles might realize. While everyone knows about the Necronomicon in The Evil Dead (1981) and the ensuing sequels, there are more books to watch out for in the world of horror. Here are a few books you should avoid opening if you happen to come across them!

Living Off-Grid
Choosing to live off-grid involves getting energy from renewable and independent sources. While most people opt for solar panel systems, this technology still isn't efficient enough to meet long-term energy requirements. You'll need a large number of panels to collect enough energy to fuel a whole house 24 hours a day. You will also have to install a bay of batteries to store energy for nighttime use.

Prepping 101
Our society’s past experience with the Covid virus taught us the importance of preparing for emergency situations. We can no longer assume we’ll always have access to modern conveniences. From a loss of electricity to severe supply chain disruptions, a storm, political strife, or viral illness can rob us of our normal routines. Making sure you’re ready for this eventuality includes stocking up on foods that you can keep for an extended period of time.

The Valley of Headless Men
Each of us has our own daily grind that tends to become repetitive, monotonous, and uninteresting. This is largely because there isn’t anything new in cities and towns that we have explored more times than we might care to count. Yet, there are still places in the world that remain wild, unexplored, and primal. One such place is The Valley of Headless Men, known formally as The Nahanni National Park Reserve.
