Even if your political beliefs take you left of center, you may have heard about Brett Cooper’s abrupt departure from The Daily Wire. For several weeks, it was a hot topic on Elon Musk’s X and many more social media platforms. While we still don’t have a concrete explanation for the separation, there are plenty of YouTube videos exploring the possible reasons Brett lost or gave up her position as the host of the organization’s The Comments Section.

The parting of ways touched Brett in a personal way when her former producer and ex-best friend, Reagan Rohrbach, was chosen to take her place. In fact, the choice of Jeremy Boreing to recruit Reagan for the position seemed particularly spiteful. While Boreing states that the decision was partly based on a recommendation from Ms. Cooper, the sudden end of that friendship might suggest otherwise.

At this point, this drama is water under the bridge. Why? Because Brett is back on YouTube with a new show. Anyone interested in checking out The Brett Cooper Show on YouTube can view the entire first episode below:

Considering the drama that led Cooper to create a YouTube series on her personal channel, it seems fitting that her first episode focuses on right wing cancel culture. In the first segment of the 28-minute episode, Brett talks about Whitney Cummings and her past political leanings. She mentions that Cummings was left of center and especially vocal about pushing for a vaccine mandate. Since that time, Brett points out that Whitney’s beliefs have shifted closer to the right, ultimately culminating with a CNN roast of Joe Biden.

Cooper shifts gears for the second part of her video to discuss Bud Light and the boycott that resulted from the brand’s support of trans activist Dylan Mulvany. She points out that Bud Light has paid the penalty for upsetting their core customer base. The brand listened to consumers and shifted their marketing to appeal to the demographic that consumes their products. Brett Cooper says Bud Light spent two years paying for their misstep. It’s time to forgive and forget.

In the final segment, Brett Cooper spends a considerable amount of time discussing Mark Zuckerberg’s evolution. The Meta founder began a change that started with his physical transformation and seemingly led to an adjustment in his management of Facebook, Instagram, and other companies under the Meta umbrella. Going forward, Zuckerberg vowed to stand up against government censorship and to protect the free speech of Meta users.

Ms. Cooper suggests that we should remain skeptical but give Mark and Meta a chance to prove their good intentions. She suggests that the right should abandon cancel culture and accept those who seek to come into the fold. Is she right? While forgiveness and acceptance seem like wholesome and positive steps forward, Brett could be falling victim to her own personal experiences. Having experienced a form of cancel culture in her dealings with The Daily Wire and Reagan Rohrbach, Brett might feel more empathy for those seeking to recover from their personal or professional cancellations.

In any case, Brett Cooper is back with a new show and her first episode was entertaining, engaging, and thought-provoking, It will be interesting to see what future episodes look like since this is a new and longer format for Ms. Cooper. Brett amassed more than 899,000 subscribers even before this episode aired. Additionally, the episode earning 140,000 views ( and counting). This could bode well for the future of The Brett Cooper Show.
