Driving from North to South in Portugal
When my friends and I decided to book a trip to Portugal, we had a hard time choosing where we wanted to go. The choice between a city trip in Porto or Lisbon, or spending a week at the beach in Algarve was a hard one to make. Instead, we decided to cover it all. Cities, small fishing villages, and many opportunities for swimming in the atlantic ocean. We spent 10 days in Portugal and we visited in September. I recommend bringing warmer clothes alongside your swimgear and summer clothes at this time of year. Below you'll find our itinerary with tips and tricks along the way.

Why Capsule Hotels Are a Good Idea
If you don't know what a capsule hotel is; it's basically a fancy hostel where, instead of sleeping in bunk beds, you sleep in a literal capsule together with 20-40 other people (all in individual capsules of course, not in the same one). All other areas such as the bathrooms are shared, but most capsule hotels do offer individual shower rooms to keep guests as comfortable as possible. In most of these hotels, it is also common to separate men from women, which is also common in hostels. This concept originated in Japan, and has since become popular all over Asia and Europe.

How to Tackle China, South Korea, and Japan in Less Than Three Weeks. Top Story - July 2019.
The plan of tackling three countries in three weeks originated from being European and wanting to visit more than one country on our first trip to Asia. We therefore also chose countries that were "obvious" to visit and that were fairly close to each other. Our means of transportation from city to city and from country to country were solely by high speed trains and airplanes (I'm very sorry, mother nature). In the cities, we mostly walked and used the subway. Because we are still students, we chose to live on a budget mostly, hence why some of our flight times were less than ideal. However, we managed just fine! :)

How to Tackle the Ring Road in Iceland in Summer
Disclaimer: This is a guide for an eight to ten-day trip. Seven days is not enough to do the ring road! So, you're planning on doing a trip to Iceland in the summer. Lucky you! Now, you can't exactly go to Iceland without a real plan or you'll miss out on a bunch of stuff, and that's a fact! Even when you plan out everything, you're still going to miss a few things while you're driving around there. This guide will hopefully help you plan everything a little bit better, as I've personally done this trip a few weeks ago. Don't forget that it does not get dark in Iceland in summer, so your biological clock might get a little confused.

Exchange Semester Abroad vs Internship Abroad: What Is Best for Your Career?
An exchange semester abroad or an internship abroad, what is best for my career? I get this question quite frequently from people my age (20-25). I have been very fortunate to be able to experience both before the age of 21. The direction I took when I was 18 regarding my studies was very internationalised, which is why my university gives every student who wants a career in that same direction the opportunity to have as many experiences as possible abroad. The thing is, though, that after about six months a lot of my friends realised that this lifestyle of living abroad wasn't for them. This is why I think it's very important to be able to experience something like this before being thrown in the pond without testing the waters first.

What To Do Before You Go On Vacation
We all know some people who just go on vacation without a real plan. They sit at the beach for 3 days and then do something fun that was mentioned in a brochure at the hotel. They do have a great story to tell when returning home, but that's mostly because they got in some kind of weird situation because they were unprepared. I'll tell you how you experience a vacation that is truly worth your money without spending anything extra!

How To Successfully Learn a New Language
Let me explain my current situation first because why would you listen to anything that I, a 20-year-old student, would say? Well, I was born in Belgium. In Belgium, we have 3 official languages. Dutch, French, and German. Next to that, about 70% of the population speaks English and another 36% speaks a 3rd, 4th, or 5th language. I personally speak Dutch (which is my mother tongue), English, French, Spanish, and I'm currently learning Korean. I can also read and understand some German and Afrikaans because those languages are quite similar to Dutch. So you could say that I'm used to hearing different languages and I'm also used to learning them.

Best Restaurants in Ghent When You're on a Budget.
I have been a student in Ghent for 2 years now. Often, my friends and I are too lazy or too tired to cook for ourselves so we go out for dinner a lot. But since that all of us are still students, we don't have the money to eat anything too expensive. Over time, I've collected a list of good restaurants in and close to the city centre where you can eat very well and for a good price, and I want to share some of those with you.
