The Game That's Played
One has to wonder about the political climate in the US today. On one hand, we have the Democratic Party still in disarray from their failure in the 2016 presidential election. Then there is the Republican Party who is so out of touch to the realities facing millions of Americans each and every day. Least we forget Trump in the White House, who in his first two years has managed to turn the United States into one bad soap opera after another.

Toys
So this is Christmas. A time of year when children everywhere wait in anticipation for Santa to deliver toys and games to every boy and girl. When we really think about though the kinds of toys that actually are beneath the Christmas tree, they have very little in common to the toys of yesteryear. Ever notice how toys today have evolved in a way that children are less likely to develop a creative passion using their imagination in interacting with their toys? When we look back to a time long since past, children were more inclined through toys and games in developing creativity, imagination, and actually interacting with other children.

High Level Deception
It is Christmas time once again and all through-out the land so many people are now filing unemployment claims. So much for good fellowship and joy this holiday season. The cries of thousands continue to fall on deaf ears of those CEO's and an administration that cares not that there will be no joy or revelry this holiday season for all those laid off workers. You can bet though that the 1 percent will continue to reap their financial rewards.

Divided We Fail
In this the 21st century we still have to remember lessons learned from history are valuable tools to secure the future. Too often, though, mankind hasn't learned many of the lessons that history is supposed to teach us. Many empires that have risen fall by their failure to negate the inner divides of their people. Questions now arise about the future of the United States considering the enormity of division in the US today. Is the United States going to be the next nation to join history's long list of nations that fail to heed Lincoln's immortal words, "A nation divided against itself cannot stand?"

Birthright Deportation
In the Autumn of this year our Fearless Leader in Washington is set to alter the Constitution in many ways. But, the 14th Amendment is the prime focus that President Trump wants to abolish. Our Founding Fathers in their infinite wisdom stipulated want constitutes citizenship and now Trump is again trashing the Constitution for his own political gain. Instead of focusing on total immigration reform, which is surely needed, Trump is again agitating millions of Americans with his rhetoric about eliminating birthright citizenship. With a bravado for circumventing the truth, Trump is fraudulently claiming that birthright citizens have no place in America today. Bear in mind that if Trump gets his way, millions of already American citizens could very well be deported just as inhumanly as this administration has done in the past. The cost would be a deathblow to the U.S. economy. The fact of the matter is currently there are still over 65 percent of undocumented immigrants already living and working in the US. And they have been here for over ten years.

A National Crisis
Throughout history nations sought to gain security by protecting their borders. Many a time the process of protection involved military intervention. The United States though has had a long history of border protection without military intervention. We have been a safe haven for millions of immigrants for over 100 years. It is what has made this country unique. Now, the escalation of refugees coming from south of the border has again put the spotlight on immigration and border protection. Many have begun to realize that the timing of this crisis is by no means just happenstance. It could very well be an orchestrated ploy by the Republicans to use this crisis as a means to an end. Using tactics of fear and intimidation to push an agenda by its own nature is contrary to what the United States has stood for.

October Years
Ask anyone who has reached that certain age if they are better off than their parents were. In this age when refined etiquette and dapper sophistication are sadly missing one who has attained that milestone of longevity many would be hard pressed to say that they are better off than their parents. The golf cart reality of my generation long for the days of all those yesteryears of long ago. Now, more than a half century latter we find ourselves perplexed, filled with bewilderment of how things have turned upside down.

Trump's Tariff War
The last week of September marked a troubling trend in American politics. First, we have the Kavanaugh hearings where several women now accuse him of misconduct. And all the news seems to focus around whether what he says or she says are the actual facts. Meanwhile, with the President speaking at the United Nations, one has to wonder about the mentality of this President when he went on a boastful tirade on what he and he alone has accomplished as President. What was he thinking? The General Assembly is not the place where one goes on a self embellishment speaking tour. It is pretty apparent that this President, when it comes to interacting with other foreign dignitaries, has not one ounce of decorum befitting respect from world leaders. Yet he continues to antagonize heads of state with his go-it-alone approach in foreign affairs. All this was very obvious in his remarks at the UN recently. In his usual undiplomatic approach in dealing with other leaders of the world, he has made America look like a Banana Republic. The Trump Administration has indeed made a mockery of the Office of the President.

Treachery and Treason
History is full of treacherous and deceitful acts committed by ruthless men and women. In desperate times there have always been those who conspire to alter the course of history. Some have succeed while others have failed. The Gunpowder Plot is one such effort by a few would-be conspirators that would have changed the course of history in England some 400 years ago. History books though many omit certain facts, skirt so many details, and even stretch the truth a bit. But, when we hear about shrewd and calculating measures taken by some of histories most infamous characters, people that could have played a pivotal role in altering the course of history the Gunpowder Plot is one such instance. This coming November 5th is the anniversary of a plot so astonishing the history of England would have been rewritten had it succeeded. Yet, there is little mention of it here in the United States about what happened on the 5th of November over 400 years ago in merry old England.

Impoverished Nation
When the Peterson Foundation sited medium incomes for 2017 they implied that Americans are earning more than in previous years. Not so. When we take a closer look into the demographics of all Americans today medium incomes don't tell the true sorry state of where this country is in. First off medium means the average based upon those earning the most and figure into the equation those who are in low income levels. Where more higher incomes come into the fold it boosts the average incomes so that we really don't realize the actual facts about the majority of workers who are faced with little or no increases in wages. For African Americas their incomes are pretty bleak. They have seen their incomes levels decrease every year for the past few years. For them the majority, not the average income is at or below the poverty level of $36,000 per year. For the rest of us whether we are Asian or Caucasian income levels for the majority have all shrunk.

Deep State
When we look back at the down fall of the United States—and we will, sooner or later—the one pivotal factor that ultimately spelled the beginning of America's decline was a piece of legislation that has been primarily overlooked, forgotten, or otherwise deemed nonessential to the American public. The significance of the Act of 1871 is that from that moment on, the United States ceased being a Democratic Republic and all legislation was engineered for the sole purpose to enrich the corporate state of the United States.
