What We Have Here Is A Failure To Communicate
The results of this past election proved once again that the Democrats had a golden opportunity to capitalize on the failings of the Trump Presidency but, fell short of a nation wide mandate. A mandate to seize the gauntlet of the progressive movement that Senator Sanders thru down a little over four years ago. The opportunities were there from the very beginning even before this pandemic struck. In their failing to educate the public of the consequences of continued Congressional gridlock, conservatism, and what National Economic Reform's Ten Articles of Confederation would do led to the results that are playing out today. More Congressional gridlock, more conservatism and more suffering of millions of Americans are the direct consequences of the Democrats failure to communicate and educate the public . Educate the public that a progressive agenda is necessary to pull the United States out of this Pandemic, and restore this nations health and vitality.

The Last Ditch Effort Of Trump
The outcome of this election really shouldn't come as a shock considering the antics of Trump. What we should be cognizant of is that the Trump Presidency has made the United States sink so low in international standings that it is almost impossible to reverse the damage. Not matter who is inaugurated in January this Administration for the past four years has been able to create the greatest riff in our society. The divisions that have widened because of the utter incompetence of one Donald Trump has only incensed the publics responses. The closeness of the election just shows how deep the divisions have become. We can also state that in no other time in recent history has the United States been faced with an Administration that has dismantled the rule of law and this election is proof once again that Trump will do anything to dispel the results if Biden is declared the winner.

A Sad Commentary For Our Times
Once again the seasons have turned. The days of this past summer were not filled with blissful memories of hot summer nights but, a crescendo of disasters yet to come. It is fall now where one looks forward to beautiful foliage of leaves turning bright red and orange, where Halloween brings out the child in all of us and where pumpkin pies adorn Thanksgiving tables. But, now all of this is overshadowed by circumstances that have run out of control . When we have lost too many lives by a Pandemic that shouldn't have been, when small businesses that once dominated consumer spending in practically every city and town have ceased to exist, when millions are struggling to keep a roof over their head, food on the table and desperately trying to avoid infection of a deadly virus are the realities of today.

Remembering 1968
This is a parable of Henson Cargill's 1968 hit Skip A Rope." Listen to your children while they play. Isn't it kinda funny what the children say. Momma hates daddy, daddy hates mom, you should have heard the fight they had. Last night we all woke up to a terrible scream. Gave little sister another bad dream. Don't pay your taxes, don't be a fool. What ever happened to the golden rule? Never mind the rules just play to win. Hate you neighbor for the color of their skin. Stab'em in the back that's the name of the game. Mommy and daddy are whose to blame." Oh! what a mess we got ourselves in. Can't seem to get it together to make things right. All we do is fuss and fight. We haven't paid attention to what the children say. We have only made things worse with each passing day. No longer can we stay this way. We will only end up pale and gray. When you think about it it really isn't funny what the children say. Today, the world has become pale and gray. What the children have long since said their days are filled with nothing but dread.

The Affair Of State
It is this coming January that the State of The Union address is supposed to be given. Who ever is President at the time ought to reveal the true and factual state of our nation. Contrary to previous addresses the United States has descended into a quagmire of distension, vast inequality, and sociological upheaval unprecedented in our nations history. The sad truth today is that this nation is far behind practically every other industrial nation in quality of life and in education. We rank 29th today. Over 50 years ago the United States ranked no. 1. The rate of our decline is unparalleled in modern times.

When Those Summer Winds Blew
A kaleidoscope of images flows through conscious thought as I search through the years to those moments of carefree summer days of long ago. Now, as this summer winds blow I often drift back to the sublime ambiance that made those summers so memorable. The days of carefree adolescence filled with puppy love romances and adventurous escapades. It was always when summer winds started to blow off we went to Lake Geneva. Our cottage by the lake created memories so sweet and true. Even to this day with great fondness I think back and recall the friendships that were forged and the crazy stuff we did.

The Mounting Crisis Within
One can not help think that the horrific actions of 4 police officers set off a chain of events when they brutally murdered George Floyd. They knew full well that their actions decimated the rule of law, violated civil rights, and out right committed murder with malicious intent. As a result coinciding with other police atrocities of the past that also targeted African Americans have unleashed what just could be the spark that ignites the flames of open rebellion.

Famine, The Third Horseman Of The Apocalypse
Famine, the third Horseman of the Apocalypse is galloping onward. Can we stop him in time? That remains to be seen. But, we do have a chance. But, only if we recognize how dire the world's food supply really is. This Pandemic has only intensified the shortages of food all over the world. And, yet we for the most part are only focus has been on stopping the spread of this very infectious virus. We can not wait until another catastrophic disaster hits before we do something about it right now. And that is immediately usher in protective measures to secure our food supply will be available when we actually need it. We are already seeing acute signs of shortages of food and rising prices. Now, is the time to act before it really is too late.

2020 The Year Of Living Dangerously
So deceptive, so sudden the world was thrust into a tailspin of regrettable decisions. The sheer scope of this great tragedy has pushed mankind almost to the brink of insanity. Governments the world over are trying desperately to combat this plague on two fronts, economically, and medically. The enormous amount of destruction in lives and livelihoods lost due to this scourge that has paralyzed nations around the globe continues.

Climate Change
When the World Bank recently stated that Climate Change is a real imminent threat to the peace of the world really should be a wake up call to all those Republican climate change deniers. Heaven forbid we should shutter the fact that oil profits could suffer. But, like Scrooge himself stated if the multitudes suffer and die so-be-it and decrease the surplus population is the mindset of too many of the powers that be. The real scary thought though is that global warming if left unchecked today with all the scientific evidence to back up the fact the earth is getting warmer will thrust the world into a much harsher reality within the next decade.

A Simple Truth
The shortcomings of this past climate change conference will have far reaching consequences through-out the globe for years to come. The stranglehold of big money interests over the solutions in combating global warming continue to put the planet and humanity in harms way. Unrelenting catastrophic catastrophes that have increased in severity and intensity are at a record pace each and every year. Even though there are viable solutions with existing technologies to negate the effects of Global Warming there has been no unified effort to implement them.
