I can't find Maneli anywhere. I think I know why. After exhausting all of the usual apps and devices, I thought about going to the ornithology department to inquire about a carrier pigeon, then went to see Debbie, the department's administrative assistant, down the hall. Anyone who knows anything about academic departments knows that administrative assistants are the only ones who can keep the whole machine humming. If you have an urgent problem, with a printer or a form or a weeping student, you go to Debbie.
