May the 4th is a special day for many. No, it is not just the day to prepare yourself for Cinco de Mayo happening the next day on May 5th. Among Star Wars fans, this day is known as Star Wars Day. The specific date is so christened as “May the 4th” because it sounds similar to the iconic line “May the Force be with you.” Star Wars Day usually passes by without much notice, but with the renewed attention on the franchise brought about by the sequel trilogy, and more recently, the immensely popular The Mandalorian, the all-day celebration is marked with many retailers offering special deals on Star Wars merchandise. With Disney’s acquisition of the Star Wars franchise, one would expect the media giant to plan a certain recognition of Star Wars Day.

Timothy Zahn should be a familiar name to any Star Wars fan. If you are not familiar with that name, then you definitely know his work. Among other things, he is perhaps best known for creating the character of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Zahn released the first book in what would later be dubbed “The Thrawn Trilogy” in May of 1991. The trilogy consisted of Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command. The series was an excellent return to the series for fans, and it took the classic characters on new adventures long before the sequel trilogy. Not to mention that it introduced one of the greatest non-Sith villains in the Star Wars universe. This Official 'Star Wars' Book Has Brought New Life To The Biggest Darth Vader Fan Theory
It is no secret that Star Wars fans argue a lot. Like, A LOT. One of the biggest ongoing arguments in the Star Wars fandom is the question of who brought balance to the Force. Who was the real "Chosen One?" Depending on whom you ask, you could get one of several answers. George Lucas purists will say that Anakin was the Chosen One. Others are adamant that it was Luke. Some may even hit you with a theory of Jar Jar Binks. The problem with this question is that the actual story in the movies does not give a concrete answer and, at times, seems to contradict itself. The original trilogy of movies would lead you to believe it was actually Luke who balanced the Force, and an aged Obi-Wan seems to agree with it. Looking at the six-movie-saga in whole, the argument could still be made for Anakin. Then in the sequel trilogy, Anakin asks Rey to bring balance to the force again the way he did, and one story even suggests that Yoda wanted Leia to be the person to bring balance. Needless to say, there are arguments to be made for every side of the story. So what is the real answer to the question? Well, a new book may offer a new answer to this generation-old question.

'Obi-Wan Kenobi': Ewan McGregor Says That A Young Luke Skywalker Is "Very Possible"
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series has been in the works for quite a while now. In fact, it was going to be a film at one point. It would have been a standalone film within the A Star Wars Story line of films. However, after Solo: A Star Wars Story underperformed at the box office in 2018, Lucasfilm and Disney decided to move away from the standalone film strategy (at least for the time being). It was decided that the project would instead become a miniseries on Disney+, which seems like a smart decision given that The Mandalorian has fared very well on that streaming service as the first live-action Star Wars series.

This Fan Favorite Bounty Hunter Could Finally Get His Time To Shine In 'The Book Of Boba Fett'
The post-credit scene of The Mandalorian season 2 finale showed everyone’s favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett clearing out the den of scum and villainy formerly belonging to Jabba the Hutt, now controlled by his former majordomo Bib Fortuna. As the scene ended with Boba Fett sitting on the throne with Fennec Shand alongside him, fans were promised a new series: The Book of Boba Fett. With Fett now at the top of Jabba the Hutt’s crime syndicate, we can expect to see appearances of other bounty hunters. Some may wish to work for Boba Fett. Others may wish to overthrow him.

Barriss Offee's Order 66 Death Was Worse Than Anyone Else's In 'Star Wars'
One of the critiques that Revenge of the Sith had to face was that it had too much content cramped into it. Episode III has a running time of 140 minutes, which makes it the fourth longest of all Star Wars films (with The Last Jedi topping this list with 152 minutes). But the movie could have been even longer, as there are quite a few scenes that were either filmed but later cut, or that were part of the script but then never made it as far as being put in front of a camera. Shaak Ti alone got two different death scenes that were filmed, none of which made it into the final film. If all of these scenes had been finished and included in the movie, Episode III could have been well over four hours long.

KOTOR Remake Reportedly Will Remove Major Elements From The Game
KOTOR fans got some incredible news last week when it was all but confirmed that a remake of Knights of the Old Republic is in the works with Aspyr Media, who were responsible for several ports of the game. While there has been no official confirmation from Aspyr or any other major party involved, the confirmation comes from a couple of reputable sources who both confirmed that they knew that the remake was in development. Also, because of the rather loose confirmation, there are few concrete details surrounding the remake. However, a new rumor was recently revealed regarding the gameplay.

You Don't Know As Much About 'The Bad Batch' As You Think
Who Are The Bad Batch? Introduced in season 7 of The Clone Wars, they are an experimental clone group officially known as Clone Force 99. The team is made up of Hunter, Tech, Crosshair, Wrecker, and Echo. Each of them has a unique skill which distinguishes them from the other clone troopers we have become so accustomed to seeing. Despite their seemingly obvious flaws, they function exceedingly well as a team, as evidenced by their well known 100% success rate. To them, it's all about getting the job done and saving lives.
