Chris Farley: Comedic Icon
Amazing. Today would have been Chris Farley's 60th birthday. I had never heard that name until Black Sheep came out in 1996, but that's when I became a fan. And then more of his films came out, and he was gaining a lot of steam in his career, but sadly, it all came to a tragic end. It wasn't until after he left us that I would see more of Farley's projects and learn quite a bit about him.

A Look Back: Eddie Guerrero's Road to the WWE Championship
Twenty years. Can't believe it's been twenty years. One of the most amazing moments in WWE history happened on the evening of February 15, 2004, and it was on that night that Eddie Guerrero finally reached the top of the proverbial mountain and captured the World Wrestling Entertainment Championship. Eddie's road wasn't easy. A wrestling career that began in his late teenage years, and included stints in AAA, New Japan, and most notably (at that time) World Championship Wrestling. After five years in WCW, Eddie debuted in the then-named World Wrestling Federation promotion in 2000 as part of The Radicalz faction.

Avalanche Game 54 Recap: Dominant in DC
As John Wick would say, "I'm thinking we're back!" The Colorado Avalanche entered the fifth and penultimate game of this road trip on a bad skid. 0-3-1 in our last four games, and coming off a shutout loss in Sunrise, Florida. For this go-around, it's a trip to Our Nation's Capital to face off against the Washington Capitals, one of two teams who were on the receiving end of a Nathan MacKinnon four-goal performance this season.

Is Kyle Shanahan a Failure?
In what was, undoubtedly, the best Super Bowl ever played, the San Francisco 49ers lost, 25-22, in the final seconds of overtime to the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs. With that, the Niners came up brutally short of that elusive sixth Super Bowl championship yet again, and it has officially been 29 years since their last win at Super Bowl XXIX. There hasn't really been much to blame, but one person is definitely on the receiving end of the scrutiny: Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan.

Super Bowl LVIII Recap: The Tribal Chiefs
WOW! What a game!! So the results of this year's Conference Championships left a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of fans. They wanted the Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions, because many figured that this was Baltimore's best chance, and they wanted that heartwarming story of the Lions reaching the Super Bowl for the first time ever. Instead, we got the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers, which caused a lot of grumbling, but regardless, we were in for an interesting contest. For the Chiefs, they were looking to continue ruling as the NFL's current empire, while the Niners were looking for payback and that elusive sixth ring.

Avalanche Game 53 Recap: Enough is Enough
As the man who is about to main event WrestleMania 40 would say, "We have a lot to talk about." This...this isn't good. So the Colorado Avalanche entered this game having lost three straight, and while the OT loss to the New York Rangers wasn't too bad, the losses to the New Jersey Devils and the Carolina Hurricanes were terrible. For the fourth game of this six game road swing, it's a trip to Sunrise to face the Florida Panthers. The last time we faced Florida, it was embarrassing. An 8-2 drubbing on our ice. The Avs needed to win out to salvage a winning road trip, and I figured that this would be the game where things get back on track.

Avalanche Game 52 Recap: A Horror-Comedy of Errors
The road trip for the Colorado Avalanche continues, and it sees the team in Raleigh, North Carolina against the Carolina Hurricanes. This is the second and last meeting between the two former WHA transplants, as well as former rivals in the old Adams Division. As many hockey historians and fans recall, the Quebec Nordiques and the Hartford Whalers co-existed in the Adams Division for several years, but were hard luck until the teams relocated to Denver and Raleigh, respectively. Since then, the Avalanche won three Stanley Cups, while the Hurricanes finally won one of their own in 2006.

Avalanche Game 51 Recap: Jersey Boys
The second half of the Colorado Avalanche's season started with a six-game Eastern road swing; holy moley! Game One of that road trip saw the Avs in Madison Square Garden, and it was an overtime loss to the New York Rangers. The team had to get right back to work on the following day, but the Avs didn't have to go too far, as this game was in New Jersey against the Devils. The first meeting was a wild one that saw a lot of chaos and penalties, but the Avalanche prevailed.

The Monumental Career of Grant Fuhr
If you're familiar with my writing, then you know a lot of my career pieces on NHL players, both current and former. I've written quite a few stories, but I have yet to do one on a goaltender...until now. Two of my stories have centered on two very important and notable players in NHL history: Willie O'Ree and Jarome Iginla. As we all know, Willie O'Ree broke the NHL's color barrier, and set the stage and the bar for players such as Donald Brashear, P.K. Subban, Dustin Byfuglien, and Quinton Byfield, among others. The aforementioned Jarome Iginla raised that bar with his stellar numbers in his spectacular career, but there's another important name that needs to be mentioned: Grant Fuhr.

Family Guy Turns 25
Amazing, isn't it? Today, Family Guy celebrates 25 years. The date was Sunday, January 31, 1999. Super Bowl Sunday. Fox aired Super Bowl XXXIII, the network's second-ever Super Bowl broadcast, and that year, it was the Denver Broncos defeating the Atlanta Falcons to repeat as champions of the National Football League, while also bringing a storybook ending to the iconic career of John Elway. After one career ended on a high note, another show--another era--began.

Reviewing a Pair of Villainesses from "A Job to Kill For"
One vintage Lifetime film I remember well is A Job to Kill For, which I have seen quite a few times; as recently as a few days ago for the purpose of writing this review. On that day, it was the first time I had seen it in a number of years, and I have Tubi to thank for this, because they are a hotbed of classic Lifetime films, and some Lifetime-esque original films.

Opportunity Attacks
The cabin that Joyce and Dylan Rand were spending their vacation residing in was in a snow-covered atmosphere, but it was bliss to both of them. As Dylan returned to their vacation home, he again gushed over the setting and thanked his wife for choosing such an amazing place to celebrate their 30 years together.
