The Rookie: Is Bailey Nune Turning Heel?
The fourth season of the hit ABC series, The Rookie, ended a long arc involving the sinister La Fiera, but began another storyline involving a serial arsonist and killer. In addition, the season has seen its lead character, John Nolan, with a new love interest in form of firefighter Bailey Nune, played by Jenna Dewan. This was Nolan's third on-screen relationship; he dated fellow officer Lucy Chen during the first season, and the second season saw him involved with Dr. Grace Sawyer. Dewan's Bailey Nune debuted on the third season finale, and has appeared in all but two episodes of the fourth season. However, as the storyline progresses, and Nolan and Bailey's relationship becomes closer, there lurks a possibility that Bailey could be the villainess behind everything.

CFL Week 14 Recap: One Spot Remains
The 2021 Canadian Football League season has now entered the month of November, and in a normal season, November is the month that the Grey Cup Playoffs take place. However, because this season got off to a late start and is shortened by a few weeks, this November will feature the final three weeks of the regular season, with the playoffs starting on November 28. Speaking of the playoffs, here's who qualified entering Week 14.

Women's Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match Set for Survivor Series 2021
Major League Baseball has the World Series. WWE has Survivor Series, their own Fall Classic. Since 1987, Survivor Series has been World Wrestling Entertainment's traditional autumn event, usually taking place days before Thanksgiving. It serves as one of WWE's "Big Four," and is chronologically the last "Big Four" event of the calendar year. Survivor Series is WWE's second-oldest event, just two years younger than their mega-premiere event, WrestleMania. It was at the 1990 event that The Undertaker made his memorable debut, and fittingly, the 2020 event saw The Phenom call it a career after 30 years.

Reviewing the SmackDown Women's Division's 1st Post-Release Showcase
I'm not going to lie, it was a bit difficult to watch this week's SmackDown after the batch of releases just one day prior. Yet I couldn't help but be curious about what that show, Raw, and NXT will look like after the latest "fire sale" from WWE, which saw 10 women released. In spite of this, quite a bit happened regarding the women of SmackDown this week, so let's get to it.

10 Women Released By WWE in Latest "Fire Sale"
So on Wednesday, I read on Twitter that a batch of releases could be coming to WWE. Uh-oh. I hate these. I hate any releases from WWE, even the sample-sized ones from a few years back, because one of them was always someone I was a fan of. Lately, the releases have come in immensely huge bunches, nearly 20 all at once. I refer to them as "fire sales"; named after the "Going out of business, everything must go" sales at stores. The following day, the releases were handed out--18 of them, ten of them being from the women's roster. Oh boy. So let's analyze them.

Villainess Review: Alison (Secrets of an Escort)
Double lives always seem to play a role in these Lifetime films, and this fan wouldn't have it any other way. In the case of the film, Secrets of an Escort (aka The Other Me), it is Connie Anderson, a divorced mother of daughter Christine, who is in this role after moving with Christine to Hawaii. Waitress by day, escort by night--the latter under the name, Veronica, and being done to make ends meet.

Villainess Review: Amanda and Shelly Davis (Magnum P.I.)
Since Day One, I have really enjoyed CBS' Magnum P.I. reboot immensely. When I first heard about this back in 2018, I was in, even though I had never seen an episode of the original until about a year later. The show premiered in the fall of 2018 and was a Monday series at first, but the second season saw a move to CBS' Friday night lineup, where it currently serves on the 9PM slot before Blue Bloods, which (ironically) features the original Magnum, Tom Selleck, as one of its lead stars. The show is also part of the famed "Lenkov-verse," along with CBS' reboots of Hawaii Five-0 (which ended in 2020 after 10 years) and MacGyver (which was cancelled in the spring of 2021 after five seasons). In addition, the Magnum reboot has had its share of sinister but amazing villainesses, with a glaring example being featured in the episode, "Those We Leave Behind."

World Series Game Six: Party Like it's 1995
Here's what I remember about 1995. I was only ten years old. Seinfeld's popularity increased in its time on NBC's Thursday night lineup. Saturday Night Live was celebrating 20 years. The Simpsons' seventh season began with the surprising revelation that baby Maggie Simpson shot Mr. Burns. In the sports world, the Houston Rockets won their second straight NBA championship, the New Jersey Devils won their first of their three Stanley Cups, and Major League Soccer and the WNBA didn't exist yet. Regarding the Atlanta Braves, they won the World Series with a shutout victory in Game Six. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

NFL Week 8 Recap: Rasul Douglas is a Treasure
The month of November has arrived, and with Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, I just want to express how thankful I am that Rasul Douglas is a Green Bay Packer. Week 8 began with a highly important meeting between the Packers and the Arizona Cardinals in Glendale--a game that saw the Packers immensely shorthanded. Not one, not two, but three receivers out, yet the Packers were in control for the entire game, thanks to Aaron Rodgers connecting with Randall Cobb, as well as the tandem of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon racking up rushing yards. The fourth quarter saw the Packers up 24-21, and Aaron Jones run it in for a touchdown...or so we thought. Replay showed that he was short, and after being stopped at the one on 4th down, the Cardinals took over. Despite their bad starting position, the Cardinals made it within five yards of a game winning touchdown.

World Series Game Five: No Home Runs, No Problem
As a sports fan, I always love when the World Series just happens to coincide with a football Sunday. It brings me back to 2009, when Game Four of that Series between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Phillies took place in the "City of Brotherly Love," which also hosted an early NFL game between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. Regarding this Sunday, which was also Halloween, the city of Atlanta was busy, as the Falcons were at home, as well as Game Five of this year's World Series.

World Series Game Four: On the Verge
The Atlanta Braves' first home World Series game in 22 years was a victorious one, and was almost a historic one, as the Braves nearly no-hit the Houston Astros. Even with the no-hit bid gone, the Braves went on to take a 2-1 lead in the Fall Classic, and 24 hours later, the two teams faced off in Game Four.

CFL Week 13 Recap: Two More Playoff Spots Clinched
12 weeks of the CFL season have come and gone, and the push for the playoffs marched on. Entering the final four weeks of the season, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers were the first and only team officially in the playoffs. The defending Grey Cup Champions clinched a spot in Week 11, and Week 12 saw them lock up first place in the West Division, giving them the right to host the West Final on December 5. Regarding Week 13, three teams had a chance to clinch playoff spots and join the Bombers in a quest for the Grey Cup.
