Sylvester was a Merrie Melodies canine Sylvester, the Cat, is a beloved Looney Tunes character who debuted in March 1947 in the animated short Life with Feathers. The iconic Mel Blanc once said that he enjoyed voicing Sylvester, one of his favorite characters. The cartoon short that was near and dear to Blanc's heart was Bird's Anonymous which starred the popular cat.

Do you recall the first Reverend? Amen was a hit series that aired on NBC from 1986 until 1991. Reverend Reuben Gregory (Clifton Davis) was hired in the pilot episode and is well-known for the role. Davis is also a minister off-screen. Some longtime fans may have forgotten, and newcomers to the sitcom may not know, that there was another unnamed pastor portrayed by John Hancock, whom Gregory replaced.

Mel Blanc was partial to one cartoon and character Mel Blanc was the man with 1000 voices behind some of the most beloved cartoon characters ever. Bugs Bunny, Wile Coyote, Tweety Bird, Elmer Fudd, Woody Woodpecker, Foghorn Leghorn, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Barney Rubble, The Tasmanian Devil, Heathcliff, and Mr. Spacely are but a few. According to MeTV, the most famous voice artist of all time had one character and animated short he enjoyed above all others.
