'Til Victory or Death
October 10, 1781 - Yorktown, Virginia To my heart's dearest comfort, Susie. I last wrote to you in a panic but ready for battle. We began the siege under the command of Generals Washington and Rochambeau. I am now writing to you my dearest just one day after the bombardment of Yorktown started. Much has transpired since I last wrote you.

We've Come This Far
September 27, 1781, Yorktown, Virginia My dearest Susie, Three weeks have gone by since my last letter. I am full of regrets for not writing to you sooner. I miss you and the children dearly. Not a day goes by that I don't dream of lying next to you and watching Ben, Jon, Patience, Nora, Samuel, and Ruthie playing in our home.

Re-Duel
Friday, February 25, 2022: A history professor from Trappe, Maryland, a quaint Eastern Shore town, named Mickey Miller returned home after a 45-minute drive from Salisbury University. It is finally Friday night and his students had been a tough crowd the second half of the week. He sat down to relax in his brown leather La-Z-Boy after building a fire in his wood stove and pouring a glass of his favorite hard-to-find bourbon, Colonel E.H. Taylor Small Batch. The Revolutionary War era of American History was his forte. He loved it so much that he filled his library with biographies of the founding fathers. One he had been reading for the second time was “Alexander Hamilton” by Ron Chernow.
