The hands
My eyes flew open — sure I’d heard it again. It took longer than I liked for them to adjust in the dark. Everything in the room seemed to elongate, shapes stretching into something hungry. Tendrilled shadowy fingers reached along the walls. I pulled the blanket over my head.

Essentials for Vegans in South East Queensland
Veganism has been increasingly on the rise over the last 5 years around the world with Australia ranking among the top vegan countries in the world. Watching the world change has been incredible. I went vegetarian in 2000 and by 2005 I has discovered veganism. It was a pretty lonely journey for me. I didn’t know any vegans; Facebook had only just reached Australia and I didn’t know what I was doing with it. So, I decided to put together a list of tips that may help someone out. Please note I am not affiliated with any of the mentioned companies or products. These are my personal recommendations and favourites as not everyone has the same taste. Like some people actually like coriander. The suggestions follow the vegan definition from the dictionary “a person who does not eat any food derived from animals and who typically does not use other animal products.” Let’s get into it.

Vegan Eats in Uluru
Since we were unable to travel oversea this year, we made the decision to see a little more of Australia and when cheap flights came up it was off to Uluru. I knew going into this that food was going to be a little scarce on a vegan diet. So, I looked into all the places around and found there were about 3 places I could eat at. Greenwashing Explained
With an ever-increasing urgency for us to look after the planet we inhabit many resolutions for the new year have included taking steps to cut back on one’s carbon footprint. We have all noticed global warming while many world leaders are still telling us that it is a myth. What is the worst that happens if we act and it is a myth? The world makes better choices for the planet. If we do nothing and it is true? Potential global extinction. Many consumers have decided to make better choices with their purchases or as most of them are known as “Greener” options. The trouble is that many of the big companies have caught on and are making claims about their products that may not necessarily mean they are any better for the planet than other products out there.

How to Stop Isolation damaging your mental health
If you have already been struggling with your mental health before things started going crazy then chances are you are used to living in isolation. Most people will probably not hesitate to tell you so along with multiple memes of the same story. But there is something different about this. When it was optional it was ok you had something to work towards. Like ok tomorrow I will feel well enough to go the park, or out to dinner, or the movies. None of those are options anymore. For most people particularly those with anxiety the cap on it all was the state of the rest of the world. While the world was functioning ok freak outs were limited to things like “OMG did that wave look weird?” “Did I remember to lock the door?” Without being able to calm yourself and let yourself know the worries while very real to you were able to be controlled. Now that the entire world is in a perpetual state of worry you are likely finding that your own has peaked above that. Besides now that everyone is anxious they don’t understand how crippling your condition can be. Sound like you or someone you know? Here are some tips to help yourself through these times.
