Barbara J Iversen, also known as Babs Iverson, lives in Texas and loves her grandkids to the moon and back. After writing one story, she found that writing has many benefits especially during a pandemic and a Texas-size Arctic Blast.

The Prompt Write an acrostic using the word distraction. An acrostic is a form of poetry in which the first letter of each line, when read vertically from top to bottom, spells out a word, phrase, or name. It is a creative way to incorporate a hidden message or theme within a poem. The word that is spelled out through the initial letters of each line is typically related to the overall subject or theme of the poem.

In most cases, pain can be managed. On the other hand, itching can drive a person bonkers. Confessing, in the past when my integrative doctor offered a prescription medicine, my answer has always been, "No thank you! However, my left foot fungal infection has returned. On the April 3rd of this year, when the doctor offered a prescribed cream, I acquiesced.

Flying, flying, flying! Of course, I knew how this flight began. It started a day ago. Eight-year-old Carrie with strawberry-blonde hair was my friend and companion. She was sent to visit her grandmother in Panama City, Florida for a week. When traveling, Carrie always placed me in her backpack. Naturally, we did a lot of traveling together.
