Self-edit
Self-Edit With no time to backtrack, Paul improvised and reached for his phone in his back pocket. He set up the phone to record live as he looked around the kitchen. He pointed the phone towards the glass in the sink and then went down to the floor at the trail of footprints he followed into the kitchen. He then looked through the phone screen as he did a 360 view of the cabinets, appliances, and ceiling. There were no more footprints in this thoroughly cleaned kitchen. How could the muddy footprints enter the room and not exit? The person must have realized the mess they were leaving behind and removed their shoes. Why not clean up the shoe prints already left behind? A maladroit way to clean up after yourself so you don’t get caught. Thank you for helping us.

New Year Aspirations
New Year Aspirations New Year Aspirations The new year always brings forward old aspirations as well as new. For me the new year always compels me to create another “Bucket List” even though I did not check anything off the prior lists. In fact, the last list sits in a folder in my desk drawer. I may have accomplished a few small items, well a small piece of one item. My list consists of financial goals that were overzealous, visiting beautiful locations seen in movies that are just days away, and finishing the two manuscripts started over a dozen years ago. This does not sound very inspiring I understand, however, I want to share that I wholeheartedly believe that this year will end with at least one fully completed check on my bucket list.

Sledding
It was ten minutes after five. The kids went outside after lunch to play in the snow. My son, Jamie grabbed the sled and staggered up the hill for another turn sliding down the hill. The first few runs were a little bumpy since the recent snowstorm covered up the small rocks and small shrubbery on the yard. Jamie is not a child that accepts defeat though. He wanted to be the fastest to get to the bottom of the little hill because all his friends made it down. So, he lined up his sled at the top of the hill with the flattened path that was already created from the last few runs.

Facing Our Fears
2025 will bring a new lifestyle, a new attitude, a new perspective, and much needed time for me to do all the things I want to explore. I want to challenge myself to the extreme. Every year, I start with the same ambitions, however, life gets in the way too often. New challenges at work and college courses consume the little free time I have set aside.

Second Chance In Love
It is always a blessing when we are given a second chance. Whether it be an opportunity to change a career, to re-apply to college courses to further your education later in life or finding a new love. Eight years ago, I was given all the above plus more than I could ever imagine.
