Fight Or Lose Your Freedom
" There are sad tears in that boy's eyes; Putin has invaded his Motherland." This is an excerpt from my song. " The Ballad Of The Ukrainian Boy, " I wrote the lyrics on the second day of the war when I saw that stranded and weeping boy holding a sign that said, " Peace, Not War ". It was the most heartwrenching sign I ever saw and I felt sympathy for his misery as it depicted all the horror that can be inflicted upon an innocent adolescent.

HIDING WITHIN FOUR WALLS
Happier times may not return for quite some time. I reminisce the cheerfulness of a passerby who waved and said hello to that smiling boy staring from an open window open to the April warm sun, he did not hold a basketball in his small hands. He didn't miss his friends at the basketball field, but today nobody showed up. His mom kept him at home within four walls. Remoteness builts up anger, frustration, and loneliness.

JEFFREY FINALLY CAME HOME
Everybody, in the town of Cape Elisabeth, who had met Jeffrey Lance was delighted with his gentle character of a real gentleman. Jeffrey always wore his cowboy hat and greeted everyone on his way to his favorite coffee shop, The Bard Cafe where poetry lovers used to gather and recite a few lines from " Much Ado About Nothing " while sipping the aromatic coffee just brewed. Lines from other plays were also recited to honor Shakespeare known as the Bard of Stafford-upon-Avon. They celebrated his genius that was as much popular in his day as it is today. There was a competition of character, a rivalry to embody the main character of a certain play. Men choose Othello and Macbeth, women chose Katarina and Cleopatra.

TWO BLUE RIBBONS
The eulogy of Dominique Luzuriaga widow of fallen police officer Jason Rivera was extraordinary told with deep grief and humanness. She confessed her profound love for Jason and the great guy he was. Their story began in elementary school, where they met. The innocence of their affection led to a later romantic relationship, she evokes with an ineradicable memory and preciseness of details that made the attendants of the Mass weep, giving her a standing ovation for her gentle and truthful words of loss, but saying goodbye to Jason was the hardest part as her voice quivered and tears flowed down her cheeks. This was her testimony of faithfulness and love to her beloved sweetheart. Even the attenders outside Saint Patrick's Cathedral could hear the echo of despair and sad news as she rushed to the hospital and saw thousands of people who were gloomy and silent making her think of the worse. Dominique regrets refusing a ride home quoting Jason's words..." It might be your last." She had to repress her tears...this was at the peak of her commotion missing out on the chance of a lifetime. How could she know that those words would come true and make her weep profusely? It's a regret engraved on her heart forever, sometimes we don't pay attention to words and later we realize we should have heeded them without turning down an invitation of someone who cares about us.

THE UNEXPECTED BLIZZARD
Two years have been since a blizzard hit New York City: the last one we remember was the one in 2016. We got used to warmer weather, not expecting the next one. Science confirms global warming with glacials melting slowly and reality is not different from facts. We had harsh past winters and freezing temperature below 1 degree." These are the frigid winters of Iceland, Greenland, and Alaska. " I kept telling myself.
