SURRENDERING TO ETERNITY

Fleeing Tyranny

I have reached the peak where life finally ends,

looking below the steep cliff of perennial misery;

enflamed cities, Ukrainians escaping the rod of tyranny...

civilians picking up arms to fend off powerful rockets!

What enlightens me is the pursuit of fervent and profound faith...

believing in kindness, detesting the bastard who causes wrath;

should I go quietly in the realm of peacefulness...surrendering

to eternity with a panting breath and leaving pitiful souls grieving?

Can the madness of a leader dishonor his sterling silver flag,

denying the humanness in himself and stopping the weeping?

He's too violent and wants to see the Black Sea turning red,

not having compassion or empathy for anybody who's breathing!

What's the punishment of a cruel dictator: if not death?

I may sound cruel, think of the thousands of lives being spared!

Even an atheist says prayers and condemns his atrocious mind;

I doubt if he surrenders and peace will dwell again on our earth!
