The Truth Behind Eating Disorders & Why They’re More Prevalent Than You Think: Through The Lens Of My Experience
For the first 20 years of my life, I rejected diet culture. I ate what and how much I wanted. At first, as a child, this didn't matter. I was active and ran around, keeping me slim, though with the healthy plump expected of children. However, around the age of nine, my body began to change. Hair sprouted from new places, I could no longer get away without a bra, and my hips subtly widened. Though, it would not be for another two years, when I began menstruating, that I started to become more aware of my body.

Stardust Is The Most Underrated Movie Ever
Stardust (2007) is a movie about a shop-boy-turned-hero, a world separated from ours by only a small stone wall, and a fallen star. It is based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. Fanfiction As Sex Education: Good or Bad?. Top Story - September 2021.
I read my first fanfiction when I was about 12. By my current (and most avid fanfiction reader's standards), it was an amateur fic that was cliche and the storyline was mostly author self-serving. However, my 12-year-old self found happiness in the story, surprised something like it even existed.

Abortion Isn’t A Choice, It’s Necessary Medical Care
Abortion is something I never plan to do. Most women never believe they will. Recently, the US Supreme Court upheld the Texas ban on abortion. While there are a few “health related” exceptions to the ban, they are vague and remain a gray area. There are no exceptions for incest or rape.

I Really Wanted To Like 'Sierra Burgess Is A Loser'
Originally published on Odyssey Online When I first saw the trailer for Netflix's "Sierra Burgess Is A Loser", I was excited. I was excited to see a female lead that didn't fit typical beauty standards (although Shannon Purser is still gorgeous), and the cast looked great. I was expecting a movie that was progressive and forward thinking, and something that would speak to higher truths about social media and modern high school life.
