When you read my words they may not be perfect but I hope they:
1. Engage you

Jersey—a Small Island With So Much to Offer
Getting around You may have booked a car at the same time as you booked your flight or ferry crossing to Jersey. If not, don’t panic. At the airport on arrival, there is a taxi rank. Or, a few steps from the taxi rank, is the bus stop for the service that will take you into St Helier via St Aubin. It costs £2.30 cash or £2.00 using contactless payment. This service runs reliably at 15 minute intervals. Try to get on the top deck for a full appreciation of the coast and landscape without having to worry about directions from behind the wheel of a car.

Omar's Diary to August 10, 2019
It does not feel very much like summer currently as there have been heavy rains and strong winds attacking the windows of Omar Towers that are forecast to continue for the rest of today. It feels like the encroachment of Autumn into Summer. A good day for remaining indoors and sorting things out.

The Martyni 23
Of the 130 plus cars that rocked up to the Burley Village Show in August 2019, one became the centre of attention. Visitors stopped, looked, read the details, admired, dreamt of what might have been if they owned something similar, and chatted with the enthusiastic and affable owner.

EOW Pie
OK, you have got through the working week and are looking forward to the weekend. You don’t want takeaway or anything delivered. You just want something filling, flavour-some, homely, and comforting as you close the door on the outside world. You want something so comforting it might even take you back to the family kitchen where you watched your parents cooking.

Asparagus
Chichester Cross in Chichester, Sussex, England is an octangular stone building built some time between 1497 and 1503. It marks the centre of where the old street market used to be. The market and its traders have moved to what is now an anonymous open car park apart from one. A man with a mobile stall that can be pulled away by hand when the day’s business is done.

Omar's Diary—May 24, 2019
This last week has not been the best of weeks here at my official residence, Omar Towers. In the wake of my photograph appearing in The New European, along with a short ‘bio’, I believe that is the correct journalistic term, there have been no requests for me to make any guest appearances. Not even a booking to open a supermarket, or new pet shop. I can only assume as increasing numbers of servants’ shop online nowadays that these events are becoming rarer with every click of the mouse on the ‘basket’ icon.

Izzie & Lyrie
This is the first in a series of interviews with riders and their horses. We first met Izzie in May 2018 at the yard where we have our three horses on livery and have watched her work with Lyrie over the last 12 months. During that time we have seen their relationship grow. We have seen waved her off to competitions and seen her come back. Most times these excursions have been successful. On the few that haven't been so successful, Izzie still manages to find something positive from the experience and keeps smiling through it all.
