Infinite Betrayal
Jason wiped the tears from his face, then pressed the lever. “Here we go Sparky” Jason muttered to his dog, as he sent the ship tunneling through space-time. Blinding light shone into the cabin when the ship crested the event horizon and traveled down the dark and light spiraling bands of matter and anti-matter that twisted like a tornado before him.

Burnt ends and loose ends
I was twelve when I learned that my grandfather was the Godfather of the KC mafia. I’d seen him on the news the night before getting arrested, murder the news anchor had said. A couple of days later though, here I was, sitting across from him in our favorite local joint, called Snead’s, celebrating my birthday with some delicious kc-style BBQ. The family sat along a row of tables that the owner had pushed together, trying to accommodate everyone.

The Pink and The Red
Nazis cackled as they pulled us outside into the frigid night and doused the trellises with kerosene. Fires crackled as we were put onto our knees in the backside of our little vineyard. Rows of grapes began to burn, their long-suffering stalks that once reached towards the sun, perished beneath the dark German sky. The crackling tinder of crumpling vines sang softly a requiem to a realized dream. Their songs grew louder as we kneeled on cold dirt in the bleak and terrible night.

Bubble baths and Lions
It'd been a long day of saving elephants and shit. My neck ached and my backside had been bruised from driving down bumpy safari roads at 50mph with a gun clanging between my knees. I'd recently realized that at some point during the day I had apparently shit myself. I wondered if it had been before or after those poachers had escaped us.
