The beginning of 2026 sees Zerevo returning with Yours Tonight, a new collaborative single created alongside Dutch producer JNDST. The release follows a period of steady creative development and continues a partnership that has previously resulted in collaborative work between the two artists.

Unlike releases driven by fixed schedules or conceptual statements, Yours Tonight was completed earlier and held back intentionally. The decision to release the track in early 2026 was based on timing rather than necessity.

“2026 felt like the right moment,” Zerevo explains. “It made sense as a starting point.”

Experimentation Without a Fixed Genre

From the outset, Yours Tonight was shaped without a strict genre framework. While the track draws from melodic house elements, it does not sit fully within a single category. Certain sections feature stuttered rhythmic patterns, while others lean into smoother melodic phrasing. The result is a composition that prioritizes variation and flow over repetition.

“We weren’t even sure what to call the genre,” Zerevo notes. “It felt melodic housy, but also different. More playful and dynamic.”

Rather than forcing a clear classification, the production process focused on how the track developed naturally. The arrangement introduces subtle changes throughout, allowing the track to progress without relying on static loops.

“I’m very opposed to repetition,” Zerevo adds. “There always needs to be movement.”'

A Collaborative Process Built on Momentum

One of the defining aspects of Yours Tonight was the speed at which its core idea came together. Once the creative connection aligned, the foundational structure of the track was completed within a single day.

“The flow between me and Justin works really well,” Zerevo says. “When it clicks, the track comes together quickly.”

Following the initial session, the remaining time was dedicated to refinement rather than restructuring. Mixing and mastering were approached gradually, with attention placed on balance, imaging, and overall clarity. This process extended over the following weeks, allowing for careful adjustments across different listening environments.

The approach balanced efficiency during creation with restraint during finalization.

Positioned for Atmosphere Rather Than the Club

Yours Tonight was not designed as a peak-time club release. Instead, the track leans toward atmosphere and personal listening contexts.

“I see it fitting into chill sets, early morning drives, travel moments, or quieter settings,” Zerevo explains. “It’s not a club track. It’s more of a vibe track.”

This intention influenced both the pacing of the arrangement and the overall energy of the track. Rather than building toward a single focal moment, the structure allows the track to unfold evenly from start to finish.

Visual Direction and Release Context

An official music video accompanies the release of Yours Tonight and will be available on Spotify as the official visual counterpart. The video follows the same understated approach as the track, focusing on cohesion rather than narrative complexity.

The visual process presented challenges due to limited footage availability, requiring adjustments during editing.

“There was a point where I wasn’t sure the video would come together,” Zerevo admits. “Reworking existing material ended up fitting the track better than expected.”

A Smooth Release Through Sirup Music

Released via Sirup Music, the Swiss label founded by EDX, Yours Tonight represents one of Zerevo’s most straightforward release processes to date. Communication remained consistent throughout, and the track progressed from submission to acceptance without extended revisions.

“This was one of the smoother releases I’ve had,” Zerevo says. “Everything moved naturally.”

With Yours Tonight, Zerevo and JNDST begin 2026 with a release that emphasizes collaboration, experimentation, and continuity rather than reinvention. The single is scheduled for release on January 23 and will be available across platforms.
