Unhinged Healing Poetry Book Art Contest

Well, not yet, but I will be!

I know I have been setting off a lot of announcements lately, and I have been trying to get my full book posted here for future Patreons. Which makes this post more of a whim than anything, just to see where it goes.

I have been compiling my poetry for a long while now, and I have realized that I have more than enough for a little poetry book. Many of the poems that I write are based on my healing journey, my joy, my happiness, my strongest ideals and values, and my trauma.

Almost every one of the poems I write was written out of passion. And I am not a specialist on form, or even poetry by any means. Poetry comes to me from the depths of my madness, or from whatever strong emotion has me riled up and inspired.

In my poetry collection on Patreon, each and every one of these poems that are already published and the following that are scheduled are going to be featured in my upcoming poetry book, "Unhinged Healing."

I have yet to decide if I am going to release this poetry book in December on the same date as my upcoming Audiobook for my published Novel "Memoirs of the In-Between," or if I want to wait until Valentine's Day.

I will have updates on that later after I've argued with myself.

So I am hosting a free art contest to feature artists in the poetry book.

I'd like to take this opportunity to feature some artists in the book. So I thought I would hold this art contest to see if it goes anywhere!

The Rules

1. Art must be submitted to the submission Google form in order to be considered.
2. Art must be inspired by one of the poems within the Poetry Collection on my Patreon.
3. Art must be submitted by December 9th, 2025
4. Art must be ORIGINAL to the artist who submits it. Any work found to be plagiarized will be banned from this contest, and the artist who submitted it will be black-listed from all future contests I may hold.
5. Art must NOT be generated by AI. Seriously, if I wanted AI art, I would generate it myself.
6. Preferred unique pieces inspired by the poems in the collection, Unpublished.

The Conditions

Willowmeana, the author, will hold the publishing rights for a 30-day period after the date of the poetry book's publication. The pending release dates may be December 17th, 2025, or February 14th, 2026.

In the submission form, you may choose whether or not your art may be used in marketing content for the poetry book Unhinged Healing. If you do not want your art to be used on social media for promotion of the book, simply tick the "No" box on the submission form.

There is no cash prize for the poetry book art contest, but each featured artist will receive a physical copy of the book, and you may use this book as a resume highlight. In the book, under each art piece, each artist will have their name, their social media/artist portfolio links that they provide in the submission form, as well as a proper section in the back that will list each artist and a short biography about them.

All submissions will be considered - but each poem can only have ONE winning art piece. That being said, artists are welcomed and encouraged to submit art for multiple poems if they like!

With that being said, if one of the poems you see now doesn't strike your fancy, new poems will be published every week until the deadline to inspire the artists! Good luck, everyone, and I cannot wait to see your creations and masterpieces!
