To love a Dragon

It would be impossible for me to forget the day I met this beautiful human. It was like two different worlds colliding with one another. Two worlds that didn't belong together but at the same time needed to be together. It seems fitting that the year of the dragon that represents power and strength would be the year we come together forever and say, "I do". A powerful unity that can't be broken by anything in this world. A never-ending love that was so mysterious and unexpected.

Let me tell you about the woman who has inspired me the most this year. We are only a few months in but I feel like I've already become a better version of myself because of this woman's inspiration in my life. The way she looks at me and encourages me makes me desire her more every day. The strength she has in knowing who she is and the passion that overflows from her soul inspire the people she comes in contact with. She always sets her eyes on the prize in front of her and she never gives up. She will push and fight until the final prize is in her hands.

The way she pushes me to be the best version of myself and cheers me on no matter what is a beautiful quality she possesses. She is selfless and inspiring to everyone that she comes into contact with. I never want to disappoint her and I want to cherish her forever. I thought a day dedicated to women was silly until I met this beautiful woman and now I think the whole year should be dedicated to her. She deserves the world and some days I can tell she struggles to see that. I want you to know how much she means to me and how I would not be the same man I am today without her constant love and support through everything.

What does it mean to be inspired? It is a motivation to go out and achieve what you want. What does it look like to be inspired? It is a passion that is overwhelmingly evident in your life. It is a passion that could not be formed on its own. It looks like work, excitement, and a drive to get things done. Without finding this woman, I would have had no motivation, no one to impress, nothing to work on, and nothing to fix. She showed me that I could be better and you were an inspiration to go farther.

She has dreams and desires and sometimes I see that you struggle to see that they will be achieved. But I am here to tell you that you are a powerful dragon that will get the world, not handed to her but she will reach out and take it. She will overcome any obstacle that comes between her and the goals she has. She will be the one to summit the mountain of fear, and not let anything hold her back. Do not let anything hold you back from your dreams. Fight for what you believe in and don't be afraid to be an inspiration to others.

I say all this to tell you of the inspiration and life change this woman I met just eight months ago has had in my life. You don't have to know someone for a lifetime for them to be an inspiration. You don't have to search through history books to find someone who inspires you, just open your eyes and look at what's right in front of you. The inspiration you are looking for is probably sitting there right in front of you. All you have to do is open your eyes and look!
