Sketches of Mine

This piece is one of mine well most of my sketches that start out with a cube and working out from that point. In the drawings are also squares and triangles as well. This one could be titled 'alien child' or anything that you think it may be. All of sketches so far have been done on this lined paper. These sketches all started off with me drawing just a regular cube and shooting off from there with triangles and squares and at times in other sketches that I plan to share circles.

Here is another sketch that I completed using my cube method. It is a man wondering in an empty land pointing in the direction that he is going. As you can see in the arm and the thoracic (chest) area I had decided to use circles and cylinders to form this area of the body. In the drawing I have even given the sense of the man walking as you can see from the area of the knee. This sketch could be the beginning of a poem or even a story of some kind.

Here is another sketch that I did just using my pen and paper. You will see in the chest area I started with circles and cylinders to start to form the body. This figure character seems to be somewhat on the chubby side and seems to be balancing on something sharp or maybe walking on slippery ice. Look at the way the arms and the head are placed. What kind of stories could be told with this character.

Here is another scene that I drew that could be any kind of animal, but I was thinking of a lost dog waiting and looking for something. The sun seems to be waning a little in the sky and the flower seems to looking a bit droopy. Back to the main character that I believe is a dog look at the head and the front paw could he be hurt or stuck in something, and could the dog be asking the flower for help in some way. These are just ideas for a possible story.

What could be going on in this picture? There are three characters all drawn with pen and paper using my form of cubism. Is this a possible family story with the two parents wondering about what to do with a child. It seems that the character on the left is looking up and asking for help from anyone and the character on the right is thinking 'Really.' The little one in the middle is just lying there with head up and seems to be waiting for something. The bigger characters just have to decide what the little one is waiting for at this time. Could it be food or something else?

Here are three figures that could be characters for a story but look at the various positions of the figures. One is sort of slumped but walking upright, the middle one seems to be soaring into the air with head stretched out as if reaching for something, and the third one seems to be doing somersaults in the air. Again, most of these drawings are mainly just pen sketches mainly incorporating squares, triangles and cubes.

Pardon my fingers I was just holding down the page to get a better picture. This last sketch is one that could be showing the takeoff, the up-close flight and off into the wild blue yonder of a bird of some type.
