Plain Silver Jewelry

Found in a bag with turquoise

A friend of my daughters gave me a bag of turquoise jewelry and there was a silver ring in that bag. I put it on my right hand and haven’t taken it off for more than overnight until it went with a neighbor so that she could design earrings for me to go along with it.

Simple silver leaf earrings would go nicely with the ring. Then she complicated it. She said it would be better to have the ring to work on the earrings. I reluctantly gave the ring up. My parting words were, “Please do not lose the ring.”

She sent the following photos of the three rings she made, making the decision even tougher. Please help by voting in the comments.

It is now necessary to see them in person to choose. She told me that they are all different sizes and you may not be able to tell that with these photos.

It is the holiday season and what I would like to do is buy all three pair. That would be irresponsible though, so I must choose. It is gift-giving season, not buy gifts for me season. She may have duplicates of my ring to show me as well.

Maybe I will end up owing her for the rest of my life. A payment plan? We shall see.

Compliments come with regularity on my ring. I was so pleased with just the one ring I gave my daughter's friend a 100.00 gift card for a local jewelry store. I thought I got by cheap as the turquoise is beautiful as well. I already had turquoise though and have worn turquoise my entire life.

It may also be important to see the ring, but I won’t have it until later today. Should I wait to publish? I think so. Can you imagine my conversations with others? They will sound pretty much like this. I’m not sure I would want to read about these conversations. So I will finish with excuses.

I got up way too early today.

And I have a lot to say every day.

Maybe I can go back to bed?

No, I will write this instead.

~

I did it, I went back to bed and got up

in time to finish this and to have a cup

of tea and visit the sunrise all on this Monday

I am so thankful for being able to write

despite my age, health, and how I might

need a nap. What a sap, and now it is time

to send this off to all of you. I sure can rhyme.

My father used to quip, when asked why he went out partying on Father's Day: "Every day is kid's day!" Which was true, he was a great dad! Sometimes it's okay to gift ourselves! Well-wrought!

  • "It is gift-giving season, not buy gifts for me season." Hahahahahahahaha that made me laugh. Also, all those look the same to me so I can't choose 😅😅

I kind of liked no. 3 they seem to meet each other. I am not much into jewelry though. Good job.

I'd love to see the ring to decide which earrings I like but as it stands now I am leaning towards #2, simple and elegant. I love all silver jewelry. Maybe I should write about the jewelry I wear! Hmmm.. :)

Aww that silver ring sounded like a very special ring. It’s so cute that you were able to have earrings made to go with the ring, and that your neighbour was so kind to make that possible. I would choose photo #1: something about it looks just right. Yes you sure can rhyme. This was a nice laid back read. I like that you showed us the battle you had with yourself as it relates to buying them all. Thank you for sharing and I hope it will be easier to pick. 👌🏽👏🏽🤗♥️
