His football journey began at Tyler Junior College in Texas before he transferred to the University of Oklahoma, where he played from 2022 to 2023. In 2024, he joined Louisiana–Monroe to continue his collegiate career.
Booty comes from a notable sports family; he is the nephew of former NFL quarterback John David Booty and former Miami Marlins third baseman and NFL quarterback Josh Booty. His high school career was unique, as he attended four different high schools—two in California and two in Texas—before finishing at Allen High School in the Dallas area.
