Claude Renoir en Clown Pierre-Auguste Renoir

French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir was looked upon as one of the most notable artists from the Impressionist era in 19th century Europe. Among his most famous artworks is this painting created in 1909. It features the artist's son in a flowing red clown costume. The artist is known to have painted many artworks featuring his own family and would rarely have them actually pose for a single work.

Many of his most famous artworks portray various shapes and a wide range of colors that seems to take on a different meaning for everyone who views them in some cases. Among his most famous artworks this was created in 1929 and according to the artist is a representation of the artist’s own personal experiences. When red is paired with black, red takes on a more sinister appearance while it becomes a warm, welcoming color when it is used in conjunction with yellow.

Red Hill and Bones Georgia O’Keeffe

American artist Georgia O'Keeffe is among the most famous artists in history associated with her creative paintings of the American South west. As she progressed the artist developed a deep affinity for the natural beauty of New Mexico and the deep red hues of the desert region filled with canyons and hills. This artwork is among her most famous creations painted in 1941. The painting depicts the desert landscape with a large red hill and another smaller hill. In the foreground are bleached bones that seemed to have become a symbol of the region that would later be the focus of many of O’Keeffe’s works.

American abstract artists was looked at as one of the most prolific abstract artists of the modern era. His most famous abstract artworks featured different colors that would envelop the entire canvas. The viewer was made to behold the color in all of its shades. Among his most famous paintings is the color red used in a way that artists before him never used. This artwork was created in 1959 and features two various shades of deep crimson. The canvas is filled with one shade of the deep red color while the center features a single rectangular block that is a darker, more bold reddish hue.

American artist Andy Warhol was best known for his distinctive artworks that featured many iconic figures of the modern world. His pop art paintings focused on subjects like soup can and other household items. He was also known the created paintings of famous world figures and celebrities. Among his most famous artworks was a painting depicting Russian leader Vladimir Lenin. The artist made red the dominant color of the painting.

Dr Pozzi at Home John Singer Sargent

American-born artist John Singer Sargent traveled to Europe and became immersed in French culture in the late 19th century. He became one of the prominent artists from the latter half of the Impressionist movement. The artwork depicts Dr. Samuel-Jean Pozzi, who was a close friend of the artist.
