Clockwork Orange movie

(review)

A Clockwork Orange" is a dystopian film directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on the novel by Anthony Burgess. Set in a future Britain, it tells the story of Alex DeLarge, a young delinquent who leads a gang of "droogs" through acts of ultra-violence and mayhem. After Alex is arrested, he volunteers for an experimental rehabilitation program that aims to "cure" him of his violent tendencies. The procedure involves conditioning him to feel intense nausea whenever he experiences aggression or arousal, effectively robbing him of his free will.

The film discusses a lot of themes such as free will, morality, and the transformation procedure from evil to good, and it invokes questions about the ethics of using violence to control behavior.
