Ghosts haunt us during the night, especially in the chilling tales shared by Vietnamese students abroad. Join us on a journey to a terrifying island in the video. Today, we will explore the eerie experiences of Vietnamese international students, including the tale of a 49.99-meter swimming pool with a coffin at each end, ghost stories from Singapore, and a particularly unsettling story of a missing ghost in Japan who saved a man from murder. Just thinking about these stories sends a shiver down my spine. Let’s dive into the first chilling account from an international student in Singapore.
The student recounts their time living in a wealthy neighborhood near the presidential palace. They resided in a beautiful but somewhat lonely apartment complex. One afternoon, while resting, laughter from the balcony jolted them awake. When they looked, no one was there, leading them to believe they had imagined it. Soon after, they dreamt of a man with a knife chasing a woman, only to lose her in an elevator. The man cursed as he left, and when the student awoke, it was dark and pouring rain. Curious, they asked their landlady if anyone had died there, but the landlady simply shook her head.
Over the next few days, the student experienced the same dream repeatedly. They searched online for information but found nothing. Most locals were Chinese and observed traditional customs. During the seventh month’s full moon, they witnessed a neighbor praying by the elevator. Upon asking, the neighbor revealed that a couple once lived in the student’s apartment. It was said that the husband, involved in opium, had argued with his wife to the point of attempting to kill her, prompting her to flee to her mother's home. Despite returning to her husband later, she mysteriously died in the elevator, and the area believed her death was linked to him. The husband eventually died too, but the details remained murky.
Feeling uneasy, the student contemplated moving but was reluctant due to financial constraints. They resorted to placing garlic by their bed, a knife under the pillow, and praying on the balcony, yet they still felt uneasy. After several episodes of sleep paralysis, they realized the room they occupied was the largest in the house and previously belonged to the couple. When the lease ended, the student moved to a new place but avoided the old building. They hurried past it, too fearful to use the elevator alone at night.
The second story also takes place in Singapore, but it belongs to someone else. A law student and aspiring rapper shares that despite Singapore's small size, many lives were lost during World War II, leaving cemeteries scattered throughout the area, including near their school. This particular school is built on what used to be a cemetery where thousands perished due to Japanese occupation.
