Action, Drama, and Grit: The Making of a Modern Hero
Anyone could be the star of a superhero movie. We all face our own trials and tribulations.

If Carl-Philipp’s life were a movie, it would undoubtedly be a superhero film—not because he claims to be Superman or Batman (though he cheekily notes that no one has seen him and Batman in the same room). Instead, it’s because his life is marked by resilience, perseverance, and the determination to rise every time he’s faced with challenges. "I think you could make a superhero movie about anyone," he says. "We all have our own trials and tribulations."
Carl-Philipp’s story, however, isn’t all about hardship. Born to a German father and a Spanish mother, who had lived across Mexico and the U.S., he embodies a rich cultural tapestry. At the age of two, his family moved to Brussels, Belgium, where he spent his formative years. Later, he ventured into political science, with stints in Paris and Berlin. Yet, his true passion—acting—eventually took center stage.
Carl-Philipp’s entry into acting wasn’t conventional. Despite participating in drama groups during his youth, he didn’t professionally pursue acting until after completing his BA. "I didn’t know the exact path to take," he admits. However, his determination led him to acting classes in Paris at Cinestudio Paris and Le Cours Florent, as well as stunt workshops in Northern France and Los Angeles. His goal? To become an action star capable of performing his own stunts.
"I love action movies," he shares. "But beyond that, I want to embody the kind of actor who pushes boundaries, physically and emotionally."
Shattering Misconceptions About Actors
Just like a superhero advocates for justice or brings clarity in moments of confusion, Carl-Philipp sheds light on the realities of acting—dispelling myths that surround the art.
One common stereotype Carl-Philipp aims to dispel is the assumption that actors are inherently extroverted attention-seekers. "I think people believe every actor loves the spotlight, but that’s far from true," he explains. For Carl-Philipp, recharging often means spending time alone, embracing his "lone wolf" tendencies.

Another misconception, he notes, is the belief that actors can easily transform into anyone or anything. "Some actors have that ability, but not all. Acting isn’t about magical transformations—it’s about dedication, preparation, and sometimes understanding your own limitations."
Through his candid reflections, Carl-Philipp uses his voice to inspire others, advocate for authenticity, and encourage resilience in the face of challenges. In that sense, he speaks for others with a sincerity and thoughtfulness that many might find heroic.
Exploring New Frontiers
Carl-Philipp’s ambitions extend far beyond his current achievements. He enthusiastically speaks of horror and psychological thrillers as roles he dreams of taking on. "I haven’t done any horror yet, but I’d love to be the guy who gets killed off in the opening scene or the obnoxious character everyone wants gone," he jokes. “And I also have a desire to be a part of psycho-thriller. Something along the lines of ‘Shutter Island’, Se7en’, ‘Silence of the Lambs’, and so on,” he continues. "Plus, I’ve been told I’m naturally creepy—what guy doesn’t love hearing that?"
He’s also intrigued by the idea of stepping behind the camera as a director or producer. "What creative doesn’t dream of putting their vision on the big screen?" For now, though, he’s keeping his ideas under wraps, determined to unveil them when the time is right.
A Polyglot and a Global Citizen
One of Carl-Philipp’s unique strengths is his linguistic ability. Fluent in four languages without discernible accents, he credits his upbringing in a multilingual household for this skill. This fluency not only enriches his performances but also allows him to connect with a broader audience.
Among his proudest moments are his performances in the live show at Disneyland Paris and the film La Muerte de un Comediante, where he starred alongside Diego Peretti. "Both were so rewarding," he reflects, "and I think I contributed greatly through my language skills."
A Hero’s Gratitude
When asked what he wishes more interviews would focus on, Carl-Philipp highlights the importance of acknowledging those who’ve helped him along the way. "There are so many people I’d like to thank," he says. While he keeps their identities private, his gratitude is palpable.
Carl-Philipp’s story, like the superhero movies he admires, is one of determination, growth, and a bit of fun along the way. Whether he’s dreaming of swapping lives with Captain America or exploring the eerie depths of a psychological thriller, one thing is clear: his journey is just beginning, and he’s ready to tackle whatever comes next with a "Bring it on!" mindset.
