"A Cup of Love: A Sweet Memory of Tea and Togetherness"

A Sweet Memory of Tea and Togetherness

By awaz associationPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

"One day, I received her call, and she said, 'I've learned to make tea, will you drink the tea made by my hands?' And I, who loved her to the point of madness, how could I refuse her offer? I finished my duty at 5 pm and headed to her city, arriving at 8 pm.

That crazy girl had planned to make tea and parathas for breakfast, but she couldn't cook anything. Her attempt at making parathas resulted in so many pieces that it looked like a robbery had taken place. But for me, her handmade food was the most delicious thing in the world. The tea was also incredibly tasty, with a flavor I'll never forget.

Like all girls, she ate slowly, and in this matter, she was even slower. Often, I would finish my share, and when it was her turn, we would share her portion again. This made her very happy, and making her happy was the purpose of my life.

I finished my tea, and when it was her turn, she realized she had forgotten to add sugar to the tea. 'Oh, sorry, I forgot to add sugar. How did you drink such bland tea?' she asked."

Years have passed since we parted ways. Whenever I visit someone, the host asks if I want tea or a bottle. I hear her voice echoing in my mind, 'I've learned to make tea, will you drink the tea made by my hands?' And I instinctively say, 'Tea without sugar.' Everyone looks at me in surprise, asking why without sugar. How can I tell them that we lovers, when we adopt a habit, nature also cooperates with us? I had adopted the habit of drinking bland tea to savor the taste of her tea...
