Glen Sather started the Edmonton Oilers becoming involved in the community in the early 1980’s. Then, in 2001   former Oilers president and CEO Patrick LaForge started the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation which – and good for them – has the largest 50 50 in professional sports. The Foundation gives millions of dollars to charities, who, in turn, help people become their very, very best. 

When Stan Bowman was introduced Wednesday morning, it didn’t take long for a negative reaction. Bowman was involved in a sexual assault. Now, here in Edmonton, Bowman has a chance to do something in YOUR NEXT 100 WORDS.
