Walking Out Of 25 Into 26

What Could Happen?

Introduction

This was going to be an example story, and I thought walking into 2026 on Vocal, I would be in a better place, but I have just found another major issue in publishing my stories.

Wha'pen?

An important story is crashing when it appears in a list, or I try to open it. So I asked for a copy of the text or for it to be moved to draft.

They moved it to draft, and now when I go to stories, the page is crashing.

That is where the stories are moved when I revert them to draft because I still cannot create a brand new story.

See my problem?

My solution is to capture the URL of the story by going into the published copy.

Then I revert it to draft.

Then I create a new URL replacing the community with stories like so:

https://shopping-feedback.today/stories/walking-out-of-25-into-26%3C/p%3E%3C/blockquote%3E%3Cstyle data-emotion-css="14azzlx-P">.css-14azzlx-P{font-family:Droid Serif,Georgia,Times New Roman,Times,serif;font-size:1.1875rem;-webkit-letter-spacing:0.01em;-moz-letter-spacing:0.01em;-ms-letter-spacing:0.01em;letter-spacing:0.01em;line-height:1.6;color:#1A1A1A;margin-top:32px;}

This was FICTION to begin with

Then I publish, and once it is published, I can then easily update it.

Conclusion

This is something I didn't want to do, but will have to until Vocal sorts out my issues.

Thank you for reading

I will leave you with a Senryū (川柳)

    I always save my work on another drive and cross my fingers. Great classic song, by the way!
