To Foolish Words, Deaf Ears (Turn a Deaf Ear)
This poem belongs to Chapter 2: Latin American Popular Sayings with a Soulful Adaptation. (When wisdom teaches you to silence the noise of ignorance.)

There are voices that don’t deserve an echo,
opinions born from lack
disguised as absolute truths.
They watch you. They mock.
Speak from scarcity
and believe what they don’t have
is a universal lack.
But just because the fool hasn’t known joy
doesn’t mean you don’t live from it.
Just because they lack clear purpose
doesn’t mean your flame isn’t burning.
Just because they dwell in shadows
doesn’t mean you live in that primitive corner too.
Judgment says nothing about you,
it only exposes the one who casts it.
Only a wise listener
can turn a deaf ear with wisdom.
Honor your truth
and let the fool speak from their limits.
Every soul has its time in this life.
That doesn’t make you superior,
nor should you waste your energy
on those who don’t yet vibrate as you do.
Simply be grateful
you live on another frequency,
receiving what the fool
can’t even dream of having.
Because a fool never thinks with their soul.
They don’t have that capacity yet.
You know who you are,
while they’re just guessing
from their fragile house of cards,
built with fear, lack,
and truths imposed by the system.
And while you see purpose
in every step you take,
they keep counting money
while you count truths.
They live in that fragile castle,
where criticism hurts their ego.
They can’t tolerate truths
that don’t fit into their limited understanding.
They tend to be aggressive
because they don’t know how to defend
the unconscious lie they live in.
But your inner voice
doesn’t need words to prove what you already are.
It speaks in deeds,
and it speaks so loud,
that not even fools
can turn a deaf ear to your reality.
