The End of 2024 - A challenge for you. A Thank you from me.

I have some things to say to you lovely subscribers towards the end so read on my dearest readers.

How will 2024 end for you?

The End of Year 31-Day Writing Challenge started today! I'm so stoked to see what will come out of this. It has taken so much preparation and it has been a lot of fun.

To be honest, I think not knowing what will come out of this is one of the best parts because even if this impacts one person and helps them along their writing journey I will be happy.

I don't particularly have anything super deep or inspiring today at the moment but I do want to encourage you all to subscribe and take part in the challenge. There are many Vocal communities on Facebook and elsewhere that share articles with each other and it would be great to see what people share based on the prompts in these challenges.

For the past few months, I deleted every social media app from my phone so that I could focus on some major writing projects that I feel particularly passionate about. One of them was building up this newsletter to help inspire other creators.

I know it's not flashy, shiny or sexy in the way that many social media platforms hunger for but it's cut back and simple — sometimes I feel like that is just as inspirational as all the bells and whistles some creators put to their posts, videos, blogs, pictures etc.

The point is to embrace imperfection and have fun.

You can think of it as another writing resource but I love to call this place inspiration for writers. It's a place not just for writing advice but a place where writing help for writers can be found.

Best of all this is a place that will help you finish 2024 strong and will kickstart you into 2025. All that to say friends here is Day 1 of the writing challenge!

Thank you for all your love and support! Thank you for being here every time I pop in to say hello with a short story or a ramble-on.

It's a bit late for Thanksgiving, but that's okay because I know many of you aren't American anyway and there's never a better time to be thankful for all of you than now. I have been reflecting so much on my years on Vocal.

Time and time again I consider deleting my profile but then I remember all of you! I remember the ways that I have been encouraged to soar here. So thank you!
