An Endless Summer. Top Story - February 2025. Content Warning.
Sometimes I think that my life is an endless summer, each day coming and going in this quick swirl of emotions and excitement. The warm summer air and the sunlight beaming down on your shoulders, looking out as the sun sets and waiting, or dreaming, of something new and far away and beautiful. A summer that is filled with so many ups and downs, you feel like your stomach might turn like it did that one time you were on the scariest roller coaster at the park with your brother and you definitely didn’t think you were going to survive. But because he was there, I was able to make it through. My brother smiled at me, grabbed my hand, said, “it’s okay kiddo, you’re going to love this”. He always called me kiddo. Sort of like Beatrix Kiddo in Kill Bill. Except he’s my silly, wonderful, mentally ill brother, and I am his silly and insane little sister.

Lost in Time: The Impact of Forgotten Dreams on Our Reality
People sleep a third of their lives. Like a morning mist, dreams fade, leaving only 5-10% of our conscious memory. These lost moments of unconsciousness have significantly shaped human history. The principle of Einstein's relativity, DNA composition, and the world's biggest progresses came from dreams. These night enterprises make our modern disconnect.

An Easter Story
I know that Valentine's Day is tomorrow, and Easter is still a month or so away. but for some reason I am in an Easter mood. As children we saw Easter as the holiday that the Easter bunny came to our house as Santa Claus comes at Christmas but instead of wrapped presents, for he leaves us Easter baskets filled with candies and toys. We see cute bunnies and chicks pop up everywhere as well. As we grow up and become adults we begin to see and remember the real reason for Easter. This is the day that the Lord has risen after being crucified, dead and buried for three days. We are to see that he gave his life for us and our sins.

When the World Stood Still
The moment Ebele opened her eyes, she knew something was different. The usual hum of the city—cars honking, voices rising, the distant chime of a church bell—was absent. The morning light streaming through her window was frozen in place, a single ray suspended midair, catching the dust like a million tiny stars.

The Wise Fox and the Stubborn Lion
In the heart of the Great Savannah, where the sun painted golden streaks across the sky and the winds carried the whispers of the old ones, a lion named Odan ruled with unquestioned strength. His roar sent gazelles fleeing, and his mighty paws crushed the earth beneath him. Yet, for all his strength, Odan was troubled.

The House of Echoes
The storm rolled in without warning. One moment, the sky was a dull, overcast gray, and the next, the wind howled through the trees like a beast unchained. Rain pelted down in sheets, thick and relentless, soaking Ayo to the bone as she struggled to navigate the winding road.

Perfectionism
“Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor”. I read this in a book about how to write - “bird by bird” by Anne Lamott. Ironically, I picked up this book in the hopes that I will be able to write “perfectly”. If I keep reading about how to write, eventually, the first thing I write will be a pulitzer winning book or an oscar winning screenplay. Scratch that, I am a tad bit fancier - I will actually write a palme d’Or winning film.
