With only eight days left to ViM's February Prompt, I thought I would write a post to let others know who the judges will be and as a reminder to get those entries turned in.
Eight days seems like such a long time to think up a short mystery until you are down to the last day or two. Then you feel the crunch of time bearing down on you and end by rushing things. Or worse yet, you forget this awesome opportunity completely and lose out on the chance to enter.
So, put on those thinking caps and write those mysteries. We can't wait to read them!
Who is this "we" I am talking about? The judges of this prompt, of course. Once again, Judey Kalchik and Jenny David have volunteered to be judges in this contest. I will also be one of the judges, but I would like to introduce a new judge to the ViM judges' panel, Sandra Sallings.

Sandra has been a friend of mine for thirty years. She joined ViM as a reader because she loves reading and enjoys reading our stories and poems on Vocal. She is an amazing woman with a heart of gold. She works as a respiratory therapist and puts long hours into her job. She is the widow of a great Jazz musician, and he was the love of her life. Her two sons, her granddaughter and grandson, are her whole world. An animal lover who has never seen a dog she wouldn't pet, she wishes she had more time to have a four-legged companion.
I'm very pleased she has accepted judging in ViM's little prompt. This prompt has an excellent panel of judges for me to work with. I'm proud to say.
So, get your keyboards out and write a mystery that not only wows us judges but shows everyone on Vocal how to write a mystery in 650 words.

Thanks for introducing us to your friend and judge! 😊
Welcome, Sandra!!! And yes, thinking caps required. I read about this challenge before and thanking you now for the reminder. 8 Days goes quick. I guess I'll spend the next 20 minutes seeing if anything comes to mind, lol.
Oh please tell Sandra that I said hi! She sounds like such a wonderful person! 🥰🥰🥰
Ooooo! Another tempting challenge! Why do all the good challenges come out while I'm about to finish my novel?? ☹️
I've been out of it for so long, I wasn't even aware of the prompt, lol. Welcome, Sandra!
Sounds fun! 💕
This is so cool!! Where do we submit it?

I'd had to judge a competition, but thanks to all the judges for their hard work, and thanks for letting us know what's happening Sharon
