Crafting Memorable Settings
As writers, we are the creators of worlds where we invite readers to join us on epic adventures, to travel uncharted territories, and to explore both the real world or ones of pure imagination. But what transforms these words into a vibrant tapestry to captivate a reader’s senses? How do we transport him into a world of our design? It is a matter of detailed worldbuilding, engaging the senses, and being consistent with the internal logic within our created spaces.

Youth is like clouds in the sky
Teenage is fleeting, like clouds in the sky drifting away. Chung woke up from his nap, glancing at the clock to see it was nearly 2 pm. Absentmindedly, he gazed out the window, a smile gracing his face as he recalled the dream he had just experienced. In the dream, he found himself back in 12th grade, sharing laughter and snacks with friends, immersed in endless gossip. Beyond the window, the clear blue sky and the chirping of cicadas heralded the imminent arrival of summer. Time slips away swiftly, almost as if it were only yesterday. Memories of wearing the traditional ao dai to school still linger, yet now Chung is on the brink of his third year of university. The youthful countenance he once possessed has given way to a more mature visage, shaped by years of learning. Life unfolds, revealing that some things, once gone, cannot be reclaimed. Youth is akin to a downpour that one wishes to revel in once more; enveloped in the merriment of friends, dancing without regard for time. Chung wishes for his friends, integral parts of his youth, to always be healthy, happy, and prosperous on their chosen paths. To those feeling adrift, take solace in knowing that somewhere in the world, he stands ready to offer unwavering support and encouragement. Reach out when in need, and let's reunite this Tet holiday! The longing for everyone is profound.

Cobertores Solemnes
Soft dust in shades of icy blue and Arctic white covers the hillside, resembling the coziness of children nestled in warm blankets. The scarcely used bench protrudes from the landscape, resembling an Ancient Wonder amidst modernization. Eyes of mossy green gaze over the vastness, yet no undulating waves are in view.

Growing with the Flow
This year, I am continuing my quest of becoming a doer. I aspire to treat Vocal with this same commitment to jump right in and see through my works to completion. I aim to complete every challenge (within reason for myself). Even if I do not submit my piece to the challenge while it is open, I will hold myself accountable to publishing it after I complete it nonetheless. My main goal for this year of creating and sharing on Vocal is to follow through with my creations and complete the pieces I have previously started, but that have been sitting unfinished - in some cases, even just a concept - for quite a while.

3 Writing Habits You Need To Stop
Writers are not immune to bad habits especially when it comes to staying hydrated, sitting up straight, keeping our desks clean, not procrastinating our writing, taking breaks when looking at screens for hours on end, or finding excuses why we just haven't finished that novel yet.
