Keeping On, Keeping On
Major Thing Tomorrow

Introduction
Often I do run out of things to write about and then fall into diary mode. But something is happening tomorrow which is a bit scary but hopefully, it won't be too traumatic.
If you take your time to evaluate the situation there is always something to write about, which may or may not interest readers.
So What Is Happening
My desktop computer is six years old and at times seems incredibly slow. I'm not sure why, but Microsoft Products are incredibly slow and even the snip function can take an age at times, I am running Office 2016, which is slow and even Foxit PDF reader, which was so fast when I first installed it that I didn't realise it had opened the document. Now it is like every other product. I thought that I probably needed a new computer, but four or five hundred pounds is a big outlay, and then I saw this on Amazon.
Less than a hundred quid refurbished with a twelve-month guarantee, and there are a lot on Amazon for sale. Obviously, I need to transfer software to the new computer, so backed up my current computer to an external hard drive over the last two days.
Hopefully, my Microsoft Office will still work, but I do a lot of my writing with Google Docs and the Vocal editor so that should not be too much of an issue. I also use Google Sheets a lot so I am not totally dependent on Excel, but would like to have it.
This is one of the things we have to do from time to time to make sure we have the perfect writing environment.
It used to be a pen and paper many years back, but for me now I need a computer with an internet connection. I am writing this in the Vocal Editor and I hope when my new reconditioned computer appears tomorrow I slot seamlessly into creating more stories on Vocal.
My phones are always refurbished, and they are, let's face it, hand-held computers, so I expect that the computer should be absolutely fine.
I will let you know how it goes.
My phone, which I also use to sketch out stories on Google Docs

I'm assuming by now you have it. How's it going?
My laptop is 16 years old. He's very slow and if I use the internet, he'll hang. So I only use him for offline stuff like writing stories. I do reading and publishing on Vocal, all from my phone. Hope everything goes well for you!
Six years without a new computer. Seems pretty standard to me. As long as it's still working keep on trucking. If it's too slow then You might just need to clear up some space on its memory/storage drive or reinstall a new one. Either way, sounds like You're happy about Your purchase.
Informative and inspirational!!! Cheers for your new computer!!!πβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ
Going six years without updating to a new computer is pretty brave. Mine is tottering after five, but I keep putting off the inevitable. Fortunately, my art computer is only a year old, given the size of some of the files I create. I would go daffy with a slower processing speed.
