Israel is not even listening to the US about the ceasefire
World Politics

Occupying Israel has ignored US pressure to sign a cease-fire and hostage deal with the Palestinian armed group Hamas. Several media outlets in the Arab world and Israel reported that the United States had assured Hamas that the war in Gaza would end if it agreed to the first phase of a ceasefire with Israel. As soon as such news was published, Israel said that they did not agree to stop the war permanently.
A delegation of Hamas went to the Egyptian capital Cairo on Saturday (May 4). There they discussed a ceasefire. However, a Hamas official said the talks ended without any results. But it didn't collapse completely. So today Sunday (May 05) they will discuss again.
The Israeli press reported in a report that the United States pressured Israel to send a delegation to Cairo, Egypt, yesterday to negotiate with Hamas. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu did not listen to them. He refused to send a delegation to Cairo.
A Hamas official said yesterday that they had agreed to implement the first phase of the ceasefire with Israel. They responded positively to this after the US assured the cessation of hostilities.
But then when Israel said it did not agree to a complete cessation of hostilities, Hamas said it would not agree to any agreement other than a cessation of hostilities.
Occupier Israel's hard-line National Security Minister Itamar Ben Givir and Finance Minister Bajael Smorich have threatened not to sign a cease-fire deal with Hamas. They warned that if there is a ceasefire without an attack on Rafah, the government will be dissolved.
