I Can't Be Tipped On Vocal
For The Time Being
Introduction
Mariann Carroll wanted to tip me for this story, but the tipping option was not available:
What Happened?
The reason is that my account and backup account are "On Hold" pending review. This is because I have drawn from both accounts, and I had to have the second one during my issues with being unable to post on Vocal on my main account, which was finally resolved here:
So it is not a Vocal issue but a Stripe issue detailed here:
I did not intend to write this, but I think it may be something that affects other Vocal/Stipe users in the future.
I was worried that I could not tip other users, which I need to be able to do for my monthly unofficial challenges. I have tried this and I can tip others, but I have noticed there are a lot of Vocal friends whom I can't tip, so maybe they are having similar issues.
I expect this to be resolved, so I see it as an inconvenience, nothing more.

I have created a PayPal donation link if you really want to tip me, and put it on my Vocal profile, which you can see at the end of this article (I am not expecting a tip 😀😁 )
To create a PayPal link, find Seller Tools and then buttons
Then you can create a Donate Button and you get a link that you can but wherever you need it.

I never had a tip since I removed Vocal+ because of financial hardships. It looks like due to issues, we might have to consider other routes before they fix it or add more ways.

It's odd, I just received a tip last week and then 3 days later was contacted asking if I had my stripe account activated because I didn't have a tip button. I'm unsure what's going on with mine

My tip button has been removed on my profile. I have received notice from people saying they wished to tip me but that option is unavailable. As far as pay outs go, it took a very long time to receive the cash.
I didn’t know it was possible to create those PayPal links. I rarely use PayPal. What I think about Stripe is that is too slow for this time and era.
Thanks for the informative article, Mike. Stripe as the only payment option on Vocal has long been one of my "pet peeves" about the platform. I and several others have suggested PayPal on multiple occassions, but the closest it's come to happening was recieving a response that they were "considering it," long ago.
